Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Lala_G_Clef_Jewelry:

It works!!! it WORKS!!!

this is the bestest!!!

thank you so much alex!!

i have this running with ih2 and guess what? IT WORKS!!! not only does it work, but now my addtional images that werent showing before are now showing!!!

you rock!

We must not forget Mr Boylan!! He wrote the custom image function to support IH2. Without his help it would have taken me weeks to figure out a solution.

Anyway... I'm glad it works and hope that it helps to enhance your site. :)

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Thanks for doing this.

But a question: for some reason I'm seeing the thumnail (i.e. product listing) image, but not product info page images (the medium size). The text for "click for larger image" or whatever shows up, so I can click on it and it brings me the image in larger size with the light box. So I'm wondering why the medium sized images aren't showing up.

That said, the medium sized product info images do show up if I had manually uploaded the image_MED to the images/medium folder.

I tried this both with IH2 uninstalled and installed, FF and IE, and the same thing happens.

Alex Clarke:

Looks fine for me in IE7.

You have a gap at the very bottom of the page where the 'overlay' stops (IE only) and you godaddy seal appears above the 'overlay' (IE and Firefox). Wrap a <div class="flash"> tag around the seal to hide it during lightbox display.

Thanks, you solved a problem I didn't even know I had :D

I am using IE6 and the strip on the side is still there. I am going to upgrade to IE7, but still, I would like it to work for everyone who doesn't upgrade to IE7 right away! I just can't figure out what the problem could be

Try redownloading the file. Also what browser are you on? Sometimes IE6 can freak out when downloading rar or zip files.

EDIT: I'm a bit late posting this!

Alex, could you just tell me - is LB designed to do the same action as the default ZC image display setup, where on the product info page it checks for the _MED image and if nothing is there it displays just the base image? Or if "larger image" is clicked it checks for the _LRG file and if that's not there, it defaults to showing the base image? Because the way LB appears to be set up right now it checks for the _MED image and if it's not there it doesn't default to the base image, though if there is not _LRG image it *does *default to the base image. At least this is what I'm seeing.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

At the moment it works the same as the zen_image function. Which version of Zen Cart and Zen Lightbox are you using?

Also, do you have a link to you site?

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

For those that don't have a RAR program, I've upload a Zip file of v1.3.
As I'm not Registered for Module uploads, perhaps Alex could transfer it over?

The learning is in the doing.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Thanks for this.

Quick question to everyone... do we need a zip version of Zen Lightbox?

If so, I'll make sure that 1.4 (and any other updates) are compressed as zip files.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

I would say 'yes'.

I do believe RAR files are popular in Europe whereas Zip is the preferred format in North America.

The learning is in the doing.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Well... I've certainly learnt something new today!

I'll probably compress future releases using the .zip format now, if it make life easier.

Thanks for the advice. :)

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

thanks for posting the zip version. i didn't even notice the different format. but, i guess that was it. not sure why my winrar program was not decompressing the other rar properly.

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

ok. just finished installing and it works great. but, i'm noticing that if i scroll down my browser a bit and then click to see the image, the black doesn't cover completely to the bottom. but, if i leave the browser scrolled all the way to the top, the black does completely cover everything. anyone notice this too, or is it something with my site?

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Just installed on my site and it works great. In fact it works so well I found myself going from product to product just to see. I love how it handles additional images:cheers:

Re: Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Ok, I'm becoming a quick fan of zen-cart, image-handler, and the light box.

I've installed all three, but I don't seem to have the lightbox working properly..

I've followed the instructions to the best of my abilities for image-handler and light box... are they a necessary combination? what is the best way to troubleshoot my problems?

you can see my site here: http://www.thinkHTPC.com

Would LOVE any help that is out there.

Thanks!
