Products Profit/Margin Calculator and Report for 1.3.5!

Is it possible to round the endsum. Instead of 7.33 -> 7.35 and
7.32 -> 7.30.

Question: I just installed the profit share report, and it seems to be working fine.

I wanted to know if anyone knows if the profit share report takes into account changes in sales price? For example, if I have a product set to $10.00, and I discount it to $5.00 for one week, and raise it back to $10.00 thereafter, will the profit report base the final profit figure off the fluctuation in sale prices.

In other words, I sell 10 units at $10.00, sell 10 units at the discounted price, and another 10 units at $10.00 thereafter. The total gross sales would be $250 dollars. Let's say my cost per unit is $1.00, therefore, my total profit would be $225.

So, the question remains, would this come out correctly in the zencart module, or would the profit report not recognize the units sold at the discounted $5 once I raised the price up to $10.00, backdating those units sold to the current price?

I hope that is not too confusing and makes sense.

I am sure I am not the only one asking myself how I can uninstall this mod (especially the added SQL patch).

I was thinking of installing this mod i hopes of having a 'cost' field.

The readme.txt in the mod says: "... upload everything in the directory structure it is in. Please note that this WILL overwrite some of your files. ..."

Does anyone have a quick list of those files?
Then I can rename the originals before installing.

Again, I'm just trying to have a "cost" field added for my items.
I saw a previous forum post somewhere indicating this mod provides all the required changes to make this happen.

Looking at this thread, I really need a backup to "rollback".

Open the zip file provided when you download this mod, open in winzip or other, all the fiiles that are in the list are the ones to copy from your existing install. If they don't apprear in your site then they are new files :) just a little long winded maybe, then just make a note when you upload the files, to your server or hosting area, of the files that are overwritten.

i suggest the following as my solution everytime i do a mod i always carry out he steps below.

As a sure fire way of going back copy the route directory of your site to a new fiolder called "backup"and then if you need to you can restore the whole site from that fiolder :)

Make sure you also take a backup of the database prior to running the .sql file

Are there any plans to update this Add-on or any alternatives?

I ask already in november to accommodate this mod.

Is there an actual install.txt file for this? I was using the wholesale pricing add-on which I lost by installing this. If I had the install file, I could easily integrate the files if I knew what to look for.

I am used to installing php mods on a phpbb forum where there are install files that state..

etc.

I would really like to be able to use the combination of these two add-ons since they both would be valuable to have in a wholesale/retail shop.

BTW - I really like the features of this add-on.

im using dual prices for wholesale as well. Cant see the price after installed this mod.

I had stopped development on this mod as i moved to another shopping cart.

Sorry for the lack of any updates.

I think this mod would be awesome if it worked together with numinix product fields mod and When entering the cost price - already have the retail price and sale price for some reason it doesnt calculate on its own profit margin. Ultimately I would like to have this mod work with EZ populate, this way via excel spread sheet it can be easier to enter cost prices

I have been using this mod somewhere around August 2010. Sorry:dontgetit to see it shut down because this mod is awesome. It saves me time of even calculating my markup amount in dollars AND percentages.

This is a great mod for someone to continue developing on. I'll keep it and test it on newer Zen Carts when they come out. This is a MUST have mod.

Hi guys, just back checking on whether there have been any additions or updates for the profit margin calculator. Would be great if someone could at least allow that profits could be figured out within a certain date range...is there anything like this available yet? Anyone thinking of this contribution? I have many different mark-ups so I can only make assumptions concerning my actual profit at teh end of every month, any advice would be greatly appriciated! I have the latest zencart and use the profit margin calculator...and have been for years...just looking for improvements or updates.

Last time I installed this was on 1.5.1, but I guess this will still work fine on later zc releases. You must have missed something when installing the module.

I have uploaded version 2.0.0 to the addon section.

• Update Zen Cart core files to 1.5.6
• Reduce core file edits
• Update JavaScript. Now all fields will update during typing. No more tabbing is needed
• Add auto installer for database edits
• Add uninstall sql file
