Re: stockFilter for 1.3.5

I have had an amazing idea :)

If i were to get rid of the sidebox and have this mod only present on the product listing pages i.e http://www.gloopy.co.uk/ps2-games/ps2-action-adventure (next to the other filters)

then that would erradicate the problem of a lot of pages having duplicated content :)

I have looked at this code but since i am not a programmer i think this is the page i would need to edit :-

tpl_index_product_list.php

then somehow change this part and add it to display :-

<?php $content = ''; $content .= '<div id="' . str_replace('_', '-', $box_id . 'Content') . '" class="sideBoxContent centeredContent">'; $content .= zen_draw_form('stock_filter', zen_href_link(basename(ereg_replace('.php','', $PHP_SELF)), '', $request_type, false), 'get'); $content .= zen_draw_pull_down_menu('stock_filter', array(array('id' => 'all', 'text' => TEXT_STOCK_FILTER_OFF), array('id' => 'in_stock', 'text' => TEXT_STOCK_FILTER_ON)), $_SESSION['stockFilter'], 'onchange="this.form.submit();" style="width: 90%;"') . $hidden_get_variables . zen_hide_session_id(); $content .= '</form></div>'; ?>

i can see i need to get rid of the class="sideBoxContent centeredContent">'; part but have no clue. Anyone point me in the right direction .

Many Thanks

Re: stockFilter for 1.3.5

I think you're far too concerned about how you think Google indexes... but I would think a much simpler way to do things would be to use a simple if statement and look at the headers to determine if a bot is browsing or not. If its a bot, don't even use the mod's code at all.
