Stock by Attribute v4.0 addon for v1.3.5-1.3.9

i ask because i have installed the latest version of this mod and the latest version of zencart and made the grayson change but i still cant see the stock level for my different attributes on the product info page.

I'm in the same boat but my problem after install is that the text in the second dropdown gets broken--couldn't find
includes/languages/english/your_template/product_info.php
but found it elsewhere--and found and replaced mentioned in posts 110 and 132--if this doesn't work it doesn't work or my fat fingers and old eyes are to blame

I have a problem....

The products I am selling may have different colours which I have set up as attributes and the stock is shown for each colour - everything perfect so far!

The products have the option to be printed on (eg mugs, bags etc) which has also been set up as an attribute. However, as this isn't requiring a stock level, it isn't displaying on my product info page as there is zero stock.

Any ideas?

Just used this add-on for the firs time. Took 20 minutes to set up and it's brilliant!

The dynamic drop down contribution can do this but is buggy. I have it on my list to update but haven't got around to it.

Nope, it will work. Just not every setting works. If your using drop downs for selection it works fine. Radio buttons, and text options are the buggy parts of the coding.

Is there any other way to show how much stock on the product display page of each atttibute i have?

I installed the lastest v4.7ajax on my zencart v1.3.9b. did the quantity entry by attributes. but now all products have become "out of stock" shown in the shopping cart....

i checked the backend the qty is positive. how to fix that? pls help :(

You can always try it then uninstall it if it don't work for you. Doesn't touch many of the core files.

ooops! Ignore this question of mine. I have found the answer - nothing to do with Stock by attributes - just Products Quantity Box Shows under Categories/Products.

Sometimes you have to ask the question first then the answere seems to work itself out. Happens to me all the time. =)

I just updated to v1.3.9f. This add-on is not working as it did before. (it is allowing the purchase into my shopping cart of any stock size that is sold out)

I am sure that certain files were over written with new ones. I was wondering because it looks like some files were significantly changed. Should I use a program like Winmerge to merge the files instead of over-writing the newer files? (I am not sure exactly how to do this)

This is a configurable setting and I've never had an issue with it working with SBA..

The ability to simply not add items to the cart when they are not in stock is also functionality supported by the default Zen Cart settings.

However since functionality like SBA (setting stock levels for product variants) is not part of Zen Cart core code, the current Zen Cart feature doesn't support disallowing a customer to add an individual product variant to their cart..

This is supposed to be a core part of the Zen Cart 2.0 release whenever it comes out.
