Can someone tell me how does this mod actually works? I have installed it but there is nothing on my site. I followed all the instructions in the readme file.
Can't help you but just had to say that I'm also getting this. Followed the instructions and nothings showing up.
Any thoughts?

Hi
Thank you for this mod!
Ive installed it and everything works EXCEPT for the Yahoo! bookmarks. When I try to bookmark the page using Yahoo button it ads the http:// in twice.
For example go to http://www.gogoflorist.com and go to one of my products and click the yahoo button. I end up with a dud URL in yahoo since its got the http:// in there twice
I am using Simple Seo URL mod could that be causing any complications?
I am using ZC 1.3.8 a is this not compatible it says 1.3.6 in the download can that be right?
Many Thanks

To everyone who's having trouble getting the bookmarks to show up in their shop:
If you're like me, you probably thought that the ReadMe instruction "1. Upload the '/addto' directory to your server Root Directory along with all the files in the /addto directory" was telling you to upload to the actual root directory /var/www/html/shop
It was not until I read through this thread and found the following information that I realised where I was going wrong.
Software Guy wrote:
"When I say "to the root of your shop" I mean copy this file to the same location under the DIR_WS_CATALOG directory in your
configure.php. So the path of the file you create would be
DIR_WS_CATALOG/includes/languages/english/html_includes/custom/define_main_page.php"
So after I uploaded the file to the same directory that contained my 'shop' it worked perfectly.

The easiest way to have more sites than the default number is to simply use the AddThis link, which has a zillion services.
Don't worry about nofollow.

The Add To Bookmarks module is brilliant, and on behalf of the Zen Cart community I'd like to say thanks for not only sharing it but also being kind enough to respond to questions from amateurs.
Here's another question from an amateur - how do we install the generic "AddThis" link (I know how to get the code) without triggering Internet Explorer's 'DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!!" warning about insecure content? :lamo:
New Zenner
Okay ignore that question. I've found the answer!
If anyone wants it, let me know and I'll post it here.

I was able to install this on my site and it seems to work ok, except when I try to add on facebook it does not select a thumbnail.
I just clocks.
I have tried a couple of other bookmarks (besides facebook) and they do not look for a thumbnail.
Is there a why to get this to select the product image for a thumbnail on the social bookmarking.
I am not sure that I done a good job of uploading the images correctly (including the sizing), but it was working so I have not changed them.
my site is www.yourengravingsolution.com in case that will help.
Thank you in advance.

This worked on the majority of my products.
I have a few products that have attribute images that this did not seem to fix; however, some of the product with attributes did work.
I will have to try to find out what the difference is in how I added the products that do not work (it is probably something I did different on the ones that do not work).
Thanks again. :D

I'm trying to get the AddThis analytics working, the FAQ says to look for the pub= part of the code but I'm not seeing that in the button code that I generate, I see this with xxxxxxx being my username:
<!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
<a class="addthis_button" href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?v=250&username=xxxxxxxxx"><img src="http://s7.addthis.com/static/btn/v2/lg-share-en.gif" width="125" height="16" alt="Bookmark and Share" style="border:0"/></a><script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#username=xxxxxxxx"></script>
<!-- AddThis Button END -->
I modified tpl_social.php to the following but I'm not getting any stats... I also tried it without the v=250& and it still didn't work.
echo '<a href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?v=250&username=xxxxxxxxx;url=
Am I doing it wrong (well, I guess I am as it's not working).....

Hi I am struggling to get this to work. Have installed per instructions without modifying the main page.
When I look at the source for a products pages I get
<!--eof Product description --> <!-- bof social bookmarking --> <!-- eof social bookmarking --> <!--bof Attributes Module -->Have checked 3 times to make sure all files are there.
My site is http://www.adorablebabycakes.com.au
Have not modified any files except for includes/templates/<your template>/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php
Thanks

Stumpy74 - I had exactly the same problem - check this part of the thread:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?p=447612
His installation instructions are not correct - you can't just upload the contents to the root of your shop directory.
Wherever he has a folder called /custom/, you have to change that name to the name of your template.
And the define_main_page.php file has to be handled with care - you have to add his stuff to your existing file of the same name.
Please let me know if you need any more help - this was torture until I figured it out.

Hi,
I have the mod installed and it works on all of my products that are type, "Product-General".
However, the products that are of the "Document-Product" type do not display the social bookmarking.
How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance...

Hi All & SW Guy,
Firstly, thanks for a great MOD.
Installation went fine and all is working.
However, I was wondering if Addthis can be edited to NOT load a new webpage. Rather it loads like jmarion user's site: https://www.yourengravingsolution.com
with a popup and limited amount of networks... then you click more for further perhaps less popular social sites.
Any advice appreciated.

Anyone have solution to last question???

You mean like in my social media marking mod I am working on. You can check out the addthis code on my website below the add product button:
example:
https://www.gotleather.com/children/saltwater_sandals/fuschia
Here's the link to the forum post I started for the mod I am working on:

Hi,
After downloading and reading the Readme file i found this problem:
It says:
"Affected Files:
/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/product_info.css
/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php"
I don't have such files, also the Template_default doesn't have it.
Do i have to create them?
Thanks
New Zenner
I found the solution:
-I created the file css and add it to my personal template folder
-I add the code to the file php of the template_default folder
Hope that will be helpful for someone.
