1054 Error

I've got this error & don't know what it means:

1054 Unknown column 'startdate' in 'field list'
in:
[select startdate, counter, session_counter from counter_history where startdate='20060927']

You just upgraded your site from v1.2.x to v1.3.x but didn't upgrade the database too.

Run zc_install/index.php and choose "Database Upgrade" on the system-inspection page (NOT "install").

(note, I added the [zc_install/] for clarification, since in "this" particular case, you're working from within the zc_install folder already).

Re-upload that file, as your FTP program must have missed it. It may have missed others too.

I recommend FileZilla , and I discourage against use of smartftp or cuteftp due to their frequent timeout problems

Thank you - that worked & I got the upgrade done. However now when I rediredted to the store, I get this error:

Can you tell me exactly what file/folder I'm missing?
store/ncludes/auto_loaders/config.core.php is there. Is there a different folder I'm missing?? I deleted the zc_install folder after the upgrade was successful & the screen told me to delete it.

Perhaps you have set your file-permissions too tight for your server.
Normally 755 for folders and 644 for files is suitable.
Who knows what your web host requires.

What is your server's errorlog saying when you get these messages?

I have no idea.

• Your configure.php appears to be correct.
• PHP is SUPPOSED to be processing it right, since the .: in the status message says the current directory should be usable (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') .

It's behaving as though the DIR_FS_CATALOG is blank or the include_path in PHP is set to ignore the current directory. But neither of those is true, based on what you're reporting.

Maybe you can explain the history of this project ?

I was using ZenCart 1.2.6 and finally decided to upgrade to 1.3.5. Being the supreme idiot I am, I just uploaded the files and expected it to work.

I wasn't doing anything interesting or spectacular. Just trying to upgrade. I uploaded all the files (missing one as you found) and then did the zc_install upgrade. That worked fine.

Is there something else that can be checked or a tech support person who can go in & see if they can fix it? Last I checked my database was still working, though now I can't get into the admin, either. Getting this error:

Does anybody know how I can remove the "TagLine Here" to the right of my logo & the "Home" underneath it? Also, I can't figure out how to move to left & right columns up to the top of the page. (Categories & "Have You Seen"). I've got the "New Products for September" pictures so they're supposed to be 2 rows per column, but they're just one lined up on the left rather than centered.

Your images are taking a very long time to load as well.

Okay - I've got most of the styling done, but after looking at it both in Firefox & IE (thanks, DrByte), I need to change alignment & cannot find where to do that.

I want everything centered. In Firefox, it all looks together, but way over on the left. In IE, the "big picture' is centered, but the 2 sideboxes are left-aligned & the center box is right-aligned.

Where do I find where to fix this. I'm assuming it's in the stylesheet.css, but I'm not finding it.

Great - glad it got working for you - but how about posting the solution so others with this problem can fix it too? I've been searching and testing my own server for hours and this thread is the closest I've come to seeing a solution is possible - and it's just lovely that you all didn't share what that solution was.
