Orders Not Appearing

Did you try to uninstall then reinstall the PayPal Payment module then reconfigure it using the exact Primary email address with the same upper/lower case that you have on the PayPal Site?

I have been having the same problems as everyone else.
No orders coming thru.
I have setup Paypal IPN correctly. Also un-installed and re-installed IPN.
My website was just setup w/Zen cart 1 month ago--so I assume I have the newest version.

I still have no orders coming thru, no order numbers on the "checkout success" page and customers are NOT getting a confirmation email showing what they ordered.

I have the "stuck orders in Paypal" module which basically does me no good as it is not telling me what products someone ordered.

Anyone able to help?? I have noticed this issue seems to have been a problem for the last 5 months--judging by the numerous threads elsewhere and on other websites. My web designer has no idea what the issue could be stemming from. She thought that maybe it had to do with Paypal adding my state tax in (thus a customer getting double taxed)--but when I removed that from Paypal, Zen cart still did not work. And yes, I also tried the "refund the Paypal order $.01 cent to push the order back in Zen cart"..and that was useless.

Anyone have any ideas?
Should I look for an alternate shopping cart software? :unsure:

I just did a test and the order came thru! :D
However, no order number was on the "checkout success" page--I'll work on THAT next!!

That has been added to the upcoming v1.3.6 to account for changes with PayPal that conflict with their documentation ...

basically there's a bug in the code of the paypal module!

This definatly works, Im now using it! I knew my settings were correct

Would you mind stating what the code was to begin with? My line 60 doesn't remotely resemble what you're saying to alter. I can't find something to match up with and know what to change.

Glad this helped someone. Basically if you have configured all your pay pal settings correctly ie. used your primary paypal email (which is case sensitive), correctly followed the directions at the top of the paypal module setup (instant payment notification or ipn for short) etc. there should be know reason this module shouldn't work. If you are still having problems after the code fix i stated earlier, then your not configuring your settings correctly or you have damaged your paypal module code!. I always recommend that you back up all files before changing the code or database. Its better to take precautions then be sorry!!!!!!!!!!

And actually, the order number did indeed appear on the checkout success page and subsequently, when I "viewed the order" as a customer would, it appeared there as well.

I testing on my customers server - now running version 1.3.6 - I did a pure update - almost out of the box. the only customization i completed on this store was adding one product, adding a paypal IPN.

My address in the paypal IPN is the same as the main address on the paypal account. Auto return is on, and the page is directed right back. I spoke to the hosting company and there are no changes to the firewall that would cause this.

I placed an order, the order goes through on paypal side. I get a response via email that cash was transferred, but i do not get the order showing up in zen cart with all the details that describe it. No order is written to the database.

I installed this version in another folder, and thankfully my customer still has a version running with the paypal stuck module pushing the orders through - thanks to all the people who posted thier solutions.

I thought that this bug was fixed with this release. Can anyone offer me some advice? Because I have reccomended many customers use Zen Cart, and if they cannot take paypal orders, many of my customers are going to have real problems.

Ok Let me join the fun... I have a 1.3.5 and a 1.3.6 version running on two differrent domains and both have the same problems.

Orders go to PayPal, money is transferred, page returns to Zen Cart with "success" but no order number and no record of order.

I have only recently (about 1-2 weeks ago) installed these and PayPal has never worked. So whatever changed it happened before I installed.

I have read through similar threads and checked and tried most suggestions with no success.

I love the features and functionality of Zen Cart but I have way too many PayPal customers to go live with the current PayPal problem.

Since we are on the verge of the seasonal shopping mania, I will do whatever I can to help test out any suggestions that anyone can offer. Thanks in advance for any help...

What address are you using for the the IPN main handler in your PayPal account settings onthe PayPal site.

My address in the paypal IPN is the same as the main address on the paypal account.

I've got exactly the same problem, but I have noticed that when I refund the Paypal payment, the email giving order details then arrives. So the details of the missing orders are obviously being stored somewhere on the database - anyone tell me where? It's definitely not in the orders table as the missing orders do not generate an order no.

the orders are still there, but you have to use something to push them through. Here is the path to the sessions viewer that dr. byte made.

Perhaps i was confused by the new release - i thought the new release was going to fix this issue cleanly. 1.3.6 still has this problem.

oh - yeah - when you use the 'push orders thru' button - it looks like an error - like a 'file not found error' - but if you use the back button, and click refresh - the stuck order is gone. that's because it actually works even though it looks buggy. :-)
