For example my side box that says new products also has "[more]" after it and i would like to remove that. its also on the reviews sidebox. My website is https://www.grannysgiftsales.com/store2. thank you for all the help in advance.

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

I apoligize if this problem has already been addressed, however I can not for the life of me figure out how to get the right navigation boxes to appear. I have added them in the layout box controller but they still do not appear. In addition when I view the sub-categories the icons are not included with in the center box. Please let me know.

Thank you in advance,

Vanessa

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

Hi All; Well the "Purple" template implementation is just underway. I do have an issue that I need to resolve, but can not seem to figure out. All of the sidebar boxes overlap the center of the screen from the left and all of the boxes, either left or right are larger than the title block for the box.

I should note that this is the "non-Frames" version

I should note that this is when viewing the site with IE 7.

My site is; http://www.rincebands.com/

Please do not shoot me if this same question has been asked 40 times, I just can not seem to locate the solution.

Thanks!!

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

Also - to add to teh above, If someone could also point me to the setting in the CSS or the PHP file location so that I can move everything up closer to the header bar. I want to shrink the large space above the sidepanels and catalog area. Thanks!

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

Question 1 is fixed. I modified the CSS as follows;

.leftBoxContainer {
margin-top: 1.5em;
padding: 0.4em 0.4em;
max-width: 13.7em;

I do not yet know if I screwed somthing else up - time will tell. The original issue was that the container was wider than the header and running into the center pannel.

I still need to figure out how to tighten up the gap at the top. Whay is the large gap there in the first place? Is it for some banner setting that I am missing?

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

Figured it out - It was a blank banner that was turned on in error. Looks great now

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

In adding the header-based search box and the nav buttons (I want the mainnav to be blank) to my site, somehow I deleted a </div> tag or something, because now the hatch_bg.gif isn't showing up on my site. When I replace the modified tpl_header.php file it's resolved, so I know I messed up something in my updates.

Firebug wasn't much help in telling me what I need to fix. It looks like I'm missing a <div id="mainwrapper"> but I don't see that in the original file either.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

I just installed Zencart last night, and downloaded Purpleshades from here:

http://(sorry, site offline)/templates.html

I attempted to install it, but ran into a glitch right off the bat:

Instructions say to "drag the contents of the includes folder to your zencart install"

  • I deleted the zc install folder as instructed in the final steps of the zencart installation process.

So how do I do this now! :blush:

That just means to FTP the includes folder to your site and merge the folders. If you using windows and you are at the server, just copy the includes folder to your store directory and anser yes to all, it will just merge them.

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

What file or setting would I edit so that the template doesn't use the full screen? I would like there to be a gap in the left and right hand side of the page.

Been quite a while since I have looked at this but it would be set in the style sheet under the mainWrapper tag

Thanks that worked. Is there an easy to to change all the font sizes so their all slightly bigger or would I have to edit each one?

Re: PurpleShades Support Thread

Again the stylesheet for most and those that do not adjust will have to be addressed directly in the stylesheet
