MSRP contrib

I am struggling so much to try and fit all three prices neatly into the space or maybe just a little more. The Problem is that it is displaying the striked out price only and if I try to add them all it looks too out of place. Is there anyone who can help with this. I have contacted Template Monster, Template Tuners all to no avail as they all refuse to work on "3rd Party Mods" my sites url is https://www.thecontrolroom.co.za and I will ad a few pictures in the hopes that what I am desperately trying to achieve is clear. I really appreciate any and all help. I am having sleepless nights over this as I don't want my Amateur (at best) coding skills destroy the whole responsiveness of the site. Please let me know if anyone can help. So if you could please help me get all the prices in the blocks in all layouts? Can this be done Attachment 15713Attachment 15714Attachment 15715

ErwinSk8, most of us will not touch any templates from Template Monster or their offshoots, these templates are exactly that: Monsters. If you do a search for 'Template Monster' on this forum you will find this confirmed many times.

A good place to learn about CSS styling is here: http://www.w3schools.com/css/

Re: MSRP contrib

Does anyone know if this mod can apply to only certain groups?

I have consumers and wholesellers shopping on the same site and only want the wholesellers to see MSRP pricing (and their discount of course).

Re: MSRP contrib

oops. nm...searching with different terminology landed me here: https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=74

To add something relevant to this discussion, in my previous store I had innocently chosen a Template Monster template and painfully lived with it for years. Take it from someone who knows, build the look you want from a ZC endorsed provider. Or ideally, stock ZC. You may think it's more work but trust me, it ain't!

Which module are you using for wholesale? Works with Twitch Wholesale and Dual Pricing just depends how you intend to manage your site.

Re: MSRP contrib

I'm in the process of choosing the mods I require to get what I want:

  • users group 'wholesale' should see MSRP & wholesale price in product_info and checkout
  • retail users should only see retail price.
  • wholesale is all products discounted by %. If there could be levels that would be great but it's not critical for now.

**If there is a solution that DOES NOT involve modifying core files I would opt for it even if it doesn't meet all my needs.

I'm using Expanse template which is the commercial edition of Tableau. I noticed shortly after my posted the Numinix actually have a product_field module that seems to include some form of wholesale pricing capability. I've asked them to clarify and see what they say.

On a side note, I really don't see what good the stock group pricing is if it doesn't show the discount until checkout. I mean sure, it offers the same basic functionality but I would argue that most would want to offer their clientele to display the discount on each product as they browse. This should be built in.

Re: MSRP contrib

Twitch Wholesale is a complete wholesale package. Dual Pricing provides wholesale pricing with pricing tiers. You're wanting to filter the output of MSRP or Twitch List Price (included in TW).

With both modules TW and DP you can add the filter code to almost all screen output data. It will need custom coding but it's relatively minor.

Filters work by asking if customer is wholesale 1 or retail 0, then display this for wholesale, if not hide it.

Re: MSRP contrib

Thanks twitchtoo. So if I'm understanding correctly I think I just need TW List_Price? That's a lot of core edits though.

Thanks twitchtoo. So if I'm understanding correctly I think I just need TW List_Price? That's a lot of core edits though.

Twitch Base and List I made for the most basic install and function. Each adds an extra field in your product table. Then in the package they display in common logical places.

Each can be added to almost every sidebox, centerbox, shopping cart, checkout, invoice and in admin, invoicing and reports. These aren't magical, which means they respond well to display switches - wholesale/retail and can be incorporated into templates very easily.

If you need an actual wholesale side, Twitch Wholesale will split your site using the original core files as they were intended. Like Dual Pricing combined with Multi Site and Twitch Restrict without the headaches of all three - each has a niche.

Dual Pricing gives you wholesale tiers. Works quite well and functions a lot like Twitch Wholesale.

I made Twitch List to simplify some problems I was having with integrating this MSRP module. And respecting what this MSRP module can do I didn't include some of its features.

Remember this is code, we can do anything with code if there's time and funding ;)

I have check my log and this is what I get:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'DECIMAL' (T_STRING) in /home/sabaturproaudio/public_html/includes/database_tables.php on line 102

And this is what I put in on line 102:

define('products_msrp' DECIMAL( 15, 4 ) NOT NULL AFTER 'products_price');

Re: MSRP contrib

Okay so I implemented list_price on my dev site (all I did was overwrite by ftp upload) and I didn't get any errors things seem to be working. However, I'm not seeing all the fields in the screenshot. All I have is price net/gross & list which doesn't seem to give me 2 prices when browsing the site. Perhaps I'm not understanding the purpose of the plugin but I thought price net would be wholesale and price list would be retail and both would display while browsing.

Re: MSRP contrib

Hope you are well. Just wanted to let you know what has happened. I was having trouble with my pricing and "free shipping" showing up on my website and could not figure out what was causing the problem. After many posts with Linda McGrath and myself going back and forth, very frustrated, I finally decided that the problem had to be in the classic template download, so I basically started completely over from scratch with a "clean download" of v1.5.4.

That being done, I went ahead and loaded a product and tested the pricing and went into Product Types and made sure that "free shipping" was chosen properly and everything was working fine under the classic template. At that point I went ahead and uploaded the Responsive Sheffield Blue Template, which I had done before and the only plugin I added was CKEditor. Everything was still fine. Great! Then, I uploaded MSRP following the instructions very carefully and the same thing that happened before, happened again. All pricing disappeared, including the "free pricing" image. All gone! Don't know for sure what is going on. One mistake that I did make is that "screwed up" and loaded the Add part, you know what I mean....."smalltext" and so on? to the install SQL patches.

Now, I will tell you that I did add the "ALTER TABLE products" part into the "install SQL patches." So that part was right. I really need some help here because this is a complete new website, new database, the works, even the merchandise that I am carrying is now different. You can see the partial site here:

http://www.lingerieloversboutique.com

Thanks in advance for your help. I really want to get past this and get moving again.

Kind Regards,

Silver
