"ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Clyde, this really is a great template!

Went to my Firefox and looked at site in CSS view by handheld device. Site lines up nicely down left side, unlike any of our other sites. (Un-centered homepage pic and got it over).

Great touch with the handheld device sheet!

I'm also re-visiting your original buttons. Will probably take template to main site today as original download.

SPH

PS: Was using my rarely used Firefox to see if I could get red View Cart tab code off demo at (sorry, site offline). Maybe later.

PPSS: Thanks for above reply, will do.

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Clyde, got template on main site, looks really nice. Need to move my size chart on product page up and - as always - the logo is always a delicate problem. But looks good out of the box.

One more thing and I hope I won't bother you much more.

http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=create_account

Add a product to cart, checkout, sign-up, go to above page and forms look staggered. Is this by design? How can I line them up normally?

Thanks.

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Another stagger issue?

http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=120_105

Category listing also looks staggered. I'm using column mod; do you have solution? Didn't notice while testing.

Thanks.

in which browser?

I checked in FF, IE 7, 8 and 9, Safari, Chrome and Opera

Didn't see any "stagger"

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Thanks, fix worked:

http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=create_account

I changed width from 960px to 610px, which looks about right. 960 went in to right column.

As for Cat column listings:

http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=145_147

It's not the photos that look staggered; it is the text below each photo. I'm using IE9 and FF. If you see what I see and can offer a fix, great. Otherwise, not a deal breaker.

Thanks.

http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=19

Perhaps category column text is trying to align left, as shown above with no extra text?

Not sure if a fix is necessary as I'm not sure anything is wrong.

You can try the following:

open includes/templates/zencart_zen/css/stylesheet.css

find the following section and add the highlighted changes:

.productListing-data .listingDescription {
text-align:center;
}
h3.itemTitle{
color:#000080;
text-align:center;
font-size: 1em;
}

at the bottom of the stylesheet add the folllowing:

.centerBoxContentsProducts, .centerBoxContentsNew, .centerBoxContentsFeatured {
margin: 0 .3em;
width:30% !important;
}

BTW, Clyde, you offer very nice touches, the way the text does not run up against text from the next photo. Nice spacing. In past, I've had it were you could not really tell what was what.

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Clyde, feed-back and my observation are that cat/subcat links are little hard to read/distinguish as cat column is pretty busy. How can I make the subcat links show in a different color when parent cat is open, as here in former template, changing to blue:

http://www.pageant-mart.com/designers

I know how to do it in former template above, but can't get it to work with zencartzen here (tried stylesheet & bettercatsheet):
http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=122

Thanks

Steve

PS: Also, bloded subcat would also be nice, thanks:

Try adding this at the bottom of:
includes/templates/zencart_zen/css/stylesheet_betterCategoriesEzInfo.css

a.category-products {
font-weight:normal;
color:blue;
}

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Clyde,

http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=125_127&products_id=4186

Didn't work changing subcat link color, but did un-bold them which is some help in standing out.

And I figured out how to make selected product, subcat link red to really orientate customer. (Uncommented part at end of bettercatssheet and added text color).

Still would like to change open subcat link colors to further help orient customers, so if you have more thoughts, thanks.

open includes/templates/zencart_zen/css/stylesheet.css

find and delete/comment out the following section:

/*	background-image:url(../images/sb_content.png);

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Thanks, but didn't work.

Maybe un-bolded open subcats and Red selected cat are sufficient for now.

Strange, worked when I tried it.

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Still didn't work and caused some hover issues: white link hover over white background made link disappear.

I'm tired so may try again when fresh. In meantime, un-bolded open subcats and Fuchsia select may work.

Thanks.

Re: "ZenCart Zen" Template Support

Oh, something my sister brought up:

Main site:
http://www.prommart.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=115_14

Column cat layout, how might we center the dress title? (We recently centered the "staggered" text when shown.) She thought it looked odd in column layout, like something wrong.

Test site, row cat layout:
http://www.prom-mart.com/flaunt

If we go with rows (which also looks nice) how might we put a space between rows so pics don't run on top of one another? Looks especially bad on main site, where we have alot of black background pics, just one long black line.

Also, perhaps a little space/margin between pic and text in row layout.

I suppose this might also be a general zencart question.

Thanks for any thoughts.
