Comstock Template

Clyde,
Where (in the stylesheet?) can I adjust the vertical position of the Add to Cart button on the products page?

Thanks...

open includes/templates/comstock/css/product_info.css

find the following declaration and make the highlighted changes.

#productDescriptionBox {
margin-top:10px;
padding:.2em 0;
clear:both;
float:left;
width:80%;
}

Re: Comstock Template

Clyde,
The shopping cart on my product page is positioning itself differently in IE8 and Firefox.

Here's a screenshot of a product using Firefox:
Attachment #7285

Here's a screenshot of the same product using IE8:
Attachment #7286

Here's the link to this product on my store. Try both IE8 and Firefox and see if you're seeing the same thing I am:

http://earnest-enterprises.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=220

If so is there a remedy for this or is your previously mentioned cart repositioning the answer?

Thanks again for a great template....

The comstock template does not alter the bestseller sidebox in any way.

I believe this issue is in how the default bestseller sidebox is setup/designed.

Re: Comstock Template

So does that mean we are stuck with having a white line under Bestsellers?

do a search of the forum for "bestseller sidebox" see if someone may have come up with a solution.

Since this thread is for supporting the comstock template, posting a solution for the bestseller sidebox here might not get read unless someone is using the template.

A better option would be to start a new thread specifically for the bestseller sidebox.

BTW - a search of the forum for "bestseller sidebox" comes up with 24 posts.

Re: Comstock Template

Hi everyone,
I'm a new user of zencart. Just installed the comstock. I love it. However, the webpage layout doesn't look like right, on the top of the home page, The "shopping cart" is located at the second line, which is supposed to be nexted to "my account", and messed up with the dates display, also, the top solid lines are broken by the center frame.

I would like to know if any guru could help. Please look at my site: https://www.srtimports.com.
I appreciate any comments and great helps.

This should take care of the issue:

Just unzip the package and upload the includes folder to your server.

Dear Clyde,
Thank you so much for your lightening reply. I would like to know where I should drop the folder you sent to me:

  1. On the server side, after I opened zencart folder, there is already a includes folder there, should I open this includes and drop the "includes" you sent to me here?
    OR
  2. Should I keep going to the last subfolder "comstock" and drop it here inside of "comstock"? Thanks a lot.

Hi Clyde,
I figured to drop the file to zencart folder. Now the top lines look solid without breaking, but the "Shopping cart" is still not in the right place. Also,
there were a few buttons missing from the top burgundy bar “EZPages :: Privacy Notice :: Shared :: Zen Cart” . Are they supposed to be showing up when loaded the template properly? Thank you very much for your help.

open includes/languages/comstock/english.php

check at about line 121 that you have the following define statement.

define('BOX_HEADING_SHOPPING_CART', 'View Cart');

No they will not show unless you turn on the ez pages header:

admin -> configuration -> ez pages settings -> EZ-Pages Display Status - HeaderBar (set to 1)

An upgraded version of Comstock Template compatible with ZC v1.3.9 should be available in the downloads section shortly.

Hi Clyde, thank you for your help. Yes, I do have that statement. And the HeaderBar is already set to 1. The problem is still there. Please advise. Thanks a lot.
