PayPal received but no order in system
tj1:
OK, something else I forgot to mention and seems like a serious issue. Anyone that gets an stuck order should get the PayPal_Session_Viewer_v2.0 and push the stuck order to the orders database ASAP.

Are you managing your own copy of the contribution on your own site nowadays?
Or is this the same one as can be found in the Zen Cart downloads section?
If the stuck order is not moved, any future orders by that customer will have the same content as the original stuck order, regardless of what the customer orders. You need to move all stuck orders to avoid getting future corrupted orders with the different contents and total of what the customer ordered.
This is not entirely accurate. It's an illusion. Actual completed orders -- when they do come through -- will have correct information. However, if PayPal hasn't completed the handshake with your server to deliver the IPN notice successfully, then the customer will see their previous order on the checkout-success page and of course in their My Account area and not the most-recently completed transaction ... until the IPN completes.
Also ... NEVER push an order that has not actually been paid for... ;)
