PayPal received but no order in system

Yeah, I did the 21st patch today. I'm not sure what the problem was to test with. I'm assuming checking accounts.

The latest patch includes all the earlier fixes in that discussion, including some echeck issues.

Hey everyone, it appears I'm now having this issue too. My weird variation is the first orders I have had problems with were the first ones where** the customer paid via their checking account**, rather than a credit card. Is this a coincidence? Sorry if this was already addressed. No notification, no order, no nothing. Just money sitting in my PayPal account.

From your post, I figured you were talking about payment via echeck which comes from checking accounts.

Okay, here' s a little follow-up.

Is an eCheck when they use their bank account option in PayPal?

Turns out my 2 ghost transactions were via PayPal, one using CC, the other the aforementioned check account, so no real pattern there.

Since installing the latest PP patch our one transaction went perfectly.

Should I just keep an eye out weirdness, or can I really do anything in the meantime?

I, like many other Zenners, also had a problem with lost PayPal orders. I an on 1.3.7, uploaded the March 21 patches, followed the Wiki guide etc. I checked with web host, Lunar Pages and ports 80 and 443 are both open, bi-directional. But here is what they said about the permission on the /ipn_main_handler.php..." It appears the permissions on this file are set to 777 (as you mentioned). Due to the suPHP that is used to for PHP parsing, you will be unable to use PHP files with 777 permissions. Settings the permissions on this file to 755 will allow it to be properly parsed."

I changed the permissions to 755 and I can access it from my web browser without errors. Will try a full test now to see if all if resolved.
