IP address not getting to Authorize.net

i am not sure if someone asked this or not but i couldn't find the answer.
So what i have notice is when i check my Authorize.net transactions i notice the IP address is not showing up in the transaction.

what i do see in the Database is that the IP address was sent to Authorize.net.

I am using there fraud detection Suite FDS. And i need to pass the IP Address to the transaction so that i can block IP addresses from known areas that do fraud.

Any help would be greatfull.

Re: IP address not getting to Authorize.net

  1. What version of Zen Cart are you using?
  2. Which Authorize.net module are you using?
  3. What is the Version-ID date in the header (first few lines) of the module file?

Re: IP address not getting to Authorize.net

I suspect you're only missing IP addresses for some customers, namely those behind a firewall or proxy.

Edit the file mentioned earlier and look for this line:```
'x_customer_ip' => $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'],

and replace it with this:```
   'x_customer_ip' => zen_get_ip_address(),

Re: IP address not getting to Authorize.net

Every Transaction i have had has been missing the IP when i look at my transaction in Authorize.net, But it was not a big deal, now i am getting so many people "testing cards" i want to block out know IP address so these " Card Testers" are blocked and my merchant account is not being charge every time the card is declined.

I will try what you say and see if that works.. Just so we are clear the info i send you was from "authorizenet_aim.php" file, was that the correct file?

Re: IP address not getting to Authorize.net

The version i am useing have this line of code "

// Populate an array that contains all of the data to be sent to Authorize.net
$submit_data = array(
'x_login' => MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_LOGIN, // The login name is assigned by authorize.net
'x_tran_key' => MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_TXNKEY, // The Transaction Key is generated through the merchant interface
'x_relay_response' => 'FALSE', // AIM uses direct response, not relay response
'x_delim_data' => 'TRUE', // The default delimiter is a comma
'x_version' => '3.1', // 3.1 is required to use CVV codes
'x_type' => MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_AUTHORIZATION_TYPE == 'Authorize' ? 'AUTH_ONLY': 'AUTH_CAPTURE',
'x_method' => 'CC', //MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_METHOD == 'Credit Card' ? 'CC' : 'ECHECK',
'x_amount' => number_format($order->info['total'], 2),
'x_card_num' => $_POST['cc_number'],
'x_exp_date' => $_POST['cc_expires'],
'x_card_code' => $_POST['cc_cvv'],
'x_email_customer' => MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_EMAIL_CUSTOMER == 'True' ? 'TRUE': 'FALSE',
'x_email_merchant' => MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_EMAIL_MERCHANT == 'True' ? 'TRUE': 'FALSE',
'x_cust_id' => $_SESSION['customer_id'],
'x_invoice_num' => (MODULE_PAYMENT_AUTHORIZENET_AIM_TESTMODE == 'Test' ? 'TEST-' : '') . $new_order_id,
'x_first_name' => $order->billing['firstname'],
'x_last_name' => $order->billing['lastname'],
'x_company' => $order->billing['company'],
'x_address' => $order->billing['street_address'],
'x_city' => $order->billing['city'],
'x_state' => $order->billing['state'],
'x_zip' => $order->billing['postcode'],
'x_country' => $order->billing['country']['title'],
'x_phone' => $order->customer['telephone'],
'x_email' => $order->customer['email_address'],
'x_ship_to_first_name' => $order->delivery['firstname'],
'x_ship_to_last_name' => $order->delivery['lastname'],
'x_ship_to_address' => $order->delivery['street_address'],
'x_ship_to_city' => $order->delivery['city'],
'x_ship_to_state' => $order->delivery['state'],
'x_ship_to_zip' => $order->delivery['postcode'],
'x_ship_to_country' => $order->delivery['country']['title'],
'x_description' => $description,
// Merchant defined variables go here
'Date' => $order_time,
'IP' => $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'],
'Session' => zen_session_id());

I am guessing your want me to change 'IP' => $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'],
to 'x_customer_ip' => zen_get_ip_address(),

  1. Who is your hosting company?
  2. What payment methods do you have enabled?
  3. In firefox, on the page where the lock isn't closing, click on FF's Tools->Page Info->Media, and look for items that have http: instead of https: for clues on what may need to be adjusted.
    Usually it's because of images being served from a hard-coded URL in a template or payment module etc.

Credit card CVV number not showing up in orders.Technically the only use for the CVV number should be when sent TO authorize.net. You should not see it in your admin area.

lextechs:

In authorize.net transaction detail CAVV result code comes back as not applicable is there a fix for this?CAVV results come from the issuing bank. "not applicable" means the bank isn't doing address etc validation on the specified transaction.

The address verification comes back as matched zip and a line that says card code status matched is the the AVV? there is another line that says CAVV results not applicable

Re: IP address not getting to Authorize.net

Sorry, I somehow mixed that up.

CAVV refers to 3rd-party Cardholder Validation programs such as Verified By Visa or MasterCard SecureCode.
Neither of these is supported by the built-in Authorize.net modules.
If it's saying Not Applicable, there is no "error". It's simply an informational note.

99% of the time someone says that I find that they've also got the "Offline Credit Card" module enabled, and they're actually using that module when they type in their card details during checkout. Be sure to click "Remove" on all modules you're not actually using.
