Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

stitchnkitty:

Sorry to be such a pest but Google gave me this error:

none of the products are going to show up in the feed because of this error:

<g:image_link>http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/windflowergrove/images/medium/incense_med.jpg</g:image_link>

<link>http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/windflowergrove/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=332&currency=USD</link>

They say the product URL do not belong to the site

This is a secondary site within my account.

Site is www.windflowergrove.com

TIA
You need to run your admin and Google Feeder from your add-on domain, not the primary domain.

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

Stuff4Toys - Yes the mod is loaded on the website of the secondary location - since it was properly pointed and comes up with https://www.windflowergrove.com I guess i thought is would register the images that way. HMMM!!!
I know I have something wrong in the loading of the mod because the customer log on the admin page and the order log on the admin page has disappeared.
I usually dont load these incorrectly and I have gone back and checked the correct path for the loading so I am a bit perplexed. TIA!!!

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

I'm running on a Windows server and receive the following when attempting to run this:

Google Base Feeder v1.8.2 started 2011/04/22 11:43:50
Feed file - http://americanchoiceproducts.com/feed/domain_products.xml
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No
Your google base output directory does not exist! Please create an /feed/ directory and chmod to 755 or 777 depending on your host.

I've given write permissions to both /feed/ & /feed/google/

Is it simply the script checking permissions and not accepting Windows' answer? If so, what changes do I need to make (other than switching to Linux, which I'd love to do, but it's my boss's website)

OK found the answer to this problem - the admins were still configured for the subdomain and when I moved it into the pointed site position I did not remove the subsite configuration. If that makes any sense.

Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.

Now if I can only figure out where the customer listing and the order listing went to Ill be great -

since I am a still a bit nervous about the sql installs - I really dont want to mess with this too much - but is it possible that the copy paste of the sql installation was not complete and resulted in the disappearance of the customers and orders?? TIA

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

I thought I had the feeder fixed:

<g:image_link>http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/windflowergrove/images/medium/incense_med.jpg</g:image_link>

<link>http://www.stitchnframeonline.com/windflowergrove/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=333&currency=USD</link>

Adjusted the admin config files becasue the admin was showing an address of:
https://www.stitchnframeonline.com/windflowergrove/myadmin

so fixed this and was sure that it would do it but no such luck!

I have the google feed installed in the primary site and also in the subdomain site so it is showing that path instead of the direct one???
I just finished the upgrade on this site and just also installed the froogle google on the subdomain site. could this be linked to the fact I still can not figure out why the customer base and order base is missing? TIA

I was wondering if someone could answer a question. I am in apparel so really only need to concern myself with the shipping and tax to be entered into my feed for Google. The shipping is flat rate and is included in my feed now. The tax however, is not in the feed. I have my State tax being charged in my store with no problems. I am wondering if there is a way to have it in my feed for Google through my admin? Am I missing something? I would think that the feed would pick up the tax I set in admin just like the shipping. Any advice appreciated!

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

OK - 200 pages into reading and now it's back to the boards...

The guy that puts in our descriptions likes to put in lines like, "are two different places but that won't stand in the way of our..."

What about contractions? can't / won't / shan't ??? it's sanitizing to can&39;t / won&39;t / etc :shocking:

Tried putting the " ' " by itself on a eregi line.... nothing.
Tried excluding it on the ord(search) by using hex 27... nothing.

Any coding in the 'sanitize' part of the google_base to allow for the single quote ( ' ) or take it out completely?

Just curious.

:frusty:

and yes, I've read 1902/1922 - and can't find any others addressing this.

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

I'm using ZC 1.3.9 and version 1.8.2 of Google Merchant Centre Add On

I have an issue that I ca't find anywhere in the thread

When I use Admin Tools to run Google Merchant Center Feeder, the output file created is BestFeedSupplements_Products.xml

However, when I run it by CRON I get a file called
BestFeedSupplements_Documents.xml
which is rejected by Google Merchant Center because is not registered as an upload

What am I missing here?

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

Hey, when I go to tools there is no Google Merchant Center Feeder tab, but under Configuration the add-on has its own config tab. I already reuploaded the admin, feeds & includes folders, and double checked the configuration settings. Am I missing something?

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

Uninstalled 1.8.3 and installed 1.9.0 and when trying to create the Product feed I get the feed without any products in it, with the feed only getting up to the Description.

Eg.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <rss version="2.0" xmlns:g="http://base.google.com/ns/1.0"> <channel> <title>TITLE</title> <link>LINK</link> <description>DESC</description>

**I am not sure why it is not processing the products/category, in the settings I have not excluded or included any categories, and tried including the category which hasn't made a difference.

Checking the error logs I can see this which is probably the reason for the error but not sure how to solve.

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method google_base::numinix_categories_check() in ../public_html/googlefroogle.php on line 166**

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

Problems installing/upgrading over version 1.8.1 to 1.9.0 on Zen Cart 1.3.9.h

First tried the upgrade path and the sql patch update did not work, so I uninstalled which apparently only removes the admin/config entries, it does not remove all entries from the database

When I try and install 1.9.0, all I get is a bunch of sql errors, something about a duplicate key.

On the Numinix site, all the help I get is, hiring them to fix it.

If it is not listed under tools you installed it wrong. Go back and check your folder structure. If you have renamed your admin folder make sure you rename the admin and the other folders for google base to the custom folder name you are using. Also check and make sure all files and folders uploaded right and is not corrupt.
Make sure you upload the main file found in the root of the package (googlefroogle.php)

I would go back to the most stable version which was working before you upgraded. If you did not upgrade I would go back to 1.8.3 until this version is stable. I'm not on this version yet, let me look at it and see what I can find out why everone is having problems installing..

Thanks for taking a look at it, let me know how you get along!
Cheers!!

Also, do you think its because I haven't installed the Numinix Product Fields which is why its throwing up that numinix_categories_check error?

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

Hi,
I've been trying to get this to work for a while but can't seem to get any products into the feed. Here is my pop up screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cut my username out of this paste but you get the idea.

Google Base Feeder v1.8.2 started 2011/04/28 09:49:52
Feed file - /home/----/public_html/store/feed/froogle.txt_products.xml
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No

Google Base File Complete In 0.031796 Seconds 0 Records

When I click on the confirm button this pops up and when I click on the download link it is empty.
Thanks

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

I have installed the product fields mod. I have updated by google merchant center to v1.9 so it will work with product fields. Now I am wondering since Google wants the product "brand" as well as UPC, what do I need to do to cover that? My current zen lists the manufacturer on each product. Will that work as "brand" or do I need to create a new product field that is "brand" so it will work?

I had a similar issue. I upgraded to v1.9 google merchant center. Also, your feed name: have you tried froggle_products.xml (remove the .txt from your file name). I had a similar naming issue as well and that was screwing stuff up.

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread [OLD]

First my apologies to all because I don't understand anything with the setup it was done for me originally and all I know how to do is list items for the most part. So if I came across the answer to my question I didn't realize it in the week I have been searching for it because I don't understand the tech language or html etc at all. So apolozies for probably repeating something and needing to have help.

I thought I would not have a problem with the google changes because for example in my description of books I always include the ISBN # and for other things all info is in the description as well. However when I logged into my google base stuff I have things like books showing up they will be a problem.

The person that did my site for me has gone MIA with even a disconnected phone number so I can't get ahold of her.

I spoke to a few friends I know that have zen cart and each have said something different.

  1. That the isbn and all new info needed cannot be put in the description it needs it's own box area

  2. How to do the Manufactorer Name was explained to me so I can no add that to items. However I was told for books it cannot be used because it's titled Manufactorer Name and not Book Title or Author etc

  3. Pertaining to above I was shown the space for the Manufactorer number. Again was told this can only be used for the MPN only that I can't put the ISBN or UPC or any other number in that area cause it's not titled the proper thing such as ISBN.

I was also told the opposite of what I have typed above. So my question I guess is can the ISBN or UPC go into the box labeled Manufactuerer number or is there something that needs to be done I don't know about or how to do to make those boxes appear? :frusty:

Thanks and apologies again
