Customers who bought this product also purchased...

Hi all,

I want to know which files control the "Customers who bought this product also purchased..."

Since on my site, it layout wrong on Firefox, I spend many hour to find a way to fix it, but failed.

So I read the html output by the PHP, see the style="width: 25%", I think it is because of this, but I don't know which file control this.

Anyone know which file control this? I want to remove the width=25%

How do I get rid of that box at the bottom of the screen? The one which says "Customers who bought..." ? What is it called in the admin screen?

The Self Help Desk strikes again: The Book, page 355:"From the admin main screen choose Configuration-->Minimum Values--->Also Purchased Products...Hint: If you do not want the center-box to ever appear, specify a very high value for this field." I specified 1,000,000.

This should work. Three cheers for the book. Worth every penny I paid for it.

Hello, I am having the same problem when viewing "Customers who Bought this product also purchased" box in FireFox . It is not aligned right like in Explorer. Can you let me know if this is the right code and what needs to be modified to fix it so it looks the same in all browers.

A real handy tool to use is in the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ...

In the bottom input box enter a piece of the text that you are looking for and select Catalog and click the Search button ...

It will locate all occurances of the text, code, etc. for you in all of the php files ... :smile:

you have to finetune the css for use with all the browsers...
is not something you can do unless you know extensivly CSS.

for instance change the file you posted with

then create a part in the CSS for ALSOBOX, make it be position relative and allign it right

BUT, chanches are some other CSS is active for the elements inside the box, changing your outcome of the whole thing. i would still give it a try.

as far as disabling the box goes, all you need to do is to change the Product maximum quantity to be 0, that way the box will not be shown at all. (not even compiled in.)

In general, this info is correct but the much simpler means of addressing this issue is to NOT mess with or add markup to the template files if one doesn't have to. Instead, use the css stylesheet to target this specific division.

Whiteracing's layout issue (beyond some invalidly nested tables in the "alsoPurchased" output) is easily rectified by adding this line to the bottom of his stylesheet.css file:

	clear: both;
	margin-top: 30px;
}

Clean, simple, and uses css the way it was meant to. Don't alter templates unless one needs to!

The also purchased isn't showing up on my product detail page. I've set up 2 test accounts and ordered about 4 items but nothing. My minimum values are set to 1 in the admin, so I'm pretty sure it's activated. Is there anything I can do to test its working?
