Dynamic Price Updater

Hi All -

Has anyone run into the problem where the prices will filter correctly on the All Products page but not on the Category page? See http://jbj.ciasolutions.ca/
When I click the 14K Gold Filled Collection category and then filter by price of $299-$399 it should filter out the item of $694 but it doesn't. In the All Products the filtering does work. I have Ceon 1.20 installed but they seem to be working together well.

In my web console I am getting a ReferenceError: $ is not defined on line 2 of the file /includes/templates/classic/jscript/dynamic_filter/jquery.dynamic_filter.min.js

It has that error on the All Products page and that works so I wasn't too concerned, but I thought I would mention it.

Just installed this mod, I am getting this error: Status returned - Not Found.

Just click Hoodie and it will try to add £3 to the price...

I notice it appears to be working correctly... I apologise if I caused you any inconvenience by my rubbish response time

I'm having a bit of an issue with the DPU. I can't seem to get it to properly show my sales/special prices it just defaults to the standard price.

Other than that I have modified it just slightly not to include the sidebox, but it's mostly stock.

Any information would be greatly appreciated,

btw glad you're up and about i had read previous that you were under the weather a bit... I will add a special real quick so you can see what i'm talking about. The Apex Predator is now listed at a special price. I've had to do some serious work to get my store looking half-way decent. Still saved me a few weeks of coding it all myself.

Great addon btw.

edit I think I may have a custom attributes mod loaded, but nothing out of the ordinary and I'm running some custom java for images but not on the product page.

Thanks and thanks for your concern... For the first time in a long while I finally feel like I'm getting back in the game

I'll take a look at what's going on but I have some serious catching up to do so it might take me a few days to find a solution for you... Just so you know; I am on it, but in a list-type way :)

10 -4 on that. I'll check back in a day or two and see how u're progressing. I would like to note as you probably saw - the correct price is shown once the page is loaded, but when the DPU kicks in it shows the original price.

Im using this on ZC1.5

I just got my site shut down by hosting as they say /dpu_ajax.php is using too many server resources

My site gets 1000 page views per day and according to AW stats this file gets requested over 10,000 times

Site is www.go go florist (DOT) com

Can you suggest a way i can reduce the load - is there something wrong with the module or did i do something wrong myself?

Creamcrackers: This is a first... The Updater is called every time an attribute is altered, which results in quite a few calls to the dpu_ajax.php file... That's a fairly low-rent file, however, and only performs the same actions as the add-to-cart button... It shouldn't occupy enough resources to be even noticed... May I ask who your host is and what your server setup is? (You can PM that if you prefer)

Hi Dan, I have your Dynamic Price Updater mod installed and works great, however I have attributes set up to add a percentage of the main product price or the first attributes price to the cart using the idea found here http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.php?185921-Percentage-Increase-On-Attribute-Price&p=1159692#post1159692 from infocom.

This works great and goes through the shopping cart correctly, however I cannot get it to work with Dynamic Price Updater

This is the scenario

Product Price £749.00

Attribute X 15% of product price which displays at £112.35 on the attribute option on the product page.

So 749 + 15% of 749 (112.35) = 861.35

That is exactly what is added to the shopping cart and that goes through all the payment pages as well.

So what I would like is for the 15% of 749 (112.35) to be added onto 749.00 by the price updater on the products page.

By the way I think this is because the price updater thinks 112.35 is 0.00 even though it displays as 112.35

Sorry to bother again but yet i haven't found a solution to the error of "Variable passed to each() is not an array..." in my logs. Here the exact lines:

I do not know why, but if I have a product that is 0 for base price is enter 0,0001 in the input box. This way the mod can be fooled to work, and the 0,0001 is almost nothing :)

yes it works on 1.5.x

how does this work? i want to calculate my products based on length, but how do i go about to do this?

I installed this it on a fresh install of 1.5.1, and when I click on any product on I get the rotating gif both under price and in the side box.

I installed:
dpu_ajax.php (installed at root)
includes/classes/dynamic_price_updater.php
includes/modules/pages/product_info/jscript_ajax_updater.php

And per readme.txt no other modification is necessary. What is wrong

As I click on options i get the "Status returned - Not Found" error.
