Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

Is this a new install of v1.3.7.1 or an upgrade?

If a new install did you try just reloading the files again? Sounds like missing or corrupt files on your server ...

How did you do the install? How did you upgrade?

Never upgraded, and yes, I ugess it's technically a new install, although I never had these problems before.

Were you changing any files or adding any add-ons?

Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

Here's an example: http://wishgiving.com/index.php?main_page=contact_us

I haven't made any changes that would affect these pages, I think.

List of files I've updated :
tpl_footer.php
tpl_header.php
tpl_index_default.php

and a couple of stylesheets, which I don't think are related to the problem..

Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

Try reloading all of the files for:
/includes/pages/page_not_found/.

Then reload:
/includes/languages/english/page_not_found.php

/includes/templates/template_dir/templates/tpl_page_not_found_default.php

/includes/templates/template_dir/templates/tpl_page_not_found_default.php
First directory doesn't exist.

Reuploaded the other two, nothing changed :/

Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

I just remembered, I had installed an SSL certificate a few weeks ago.

Would that have done something?

I'm also checking the config file.

Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

It would only be related to SSL if your host requires you to have one folder for non-SSL and another for SSL, and you haven't got them in sync. Good hosts don't require double folders though.

If you are missing the files in the /includes/modules/pages folders, then you'll not get away from that error.

Perhaps you need to assess your server's files to see what else is missing?

I don't think my host does that.

Just standard https:// for SSL

I tried reuploading the pages folder, nothing happened.

Now I'm going to compare the files.

Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

I searched for other threads with similar problems and I'm thinking it's a problem with one of my config files..

I already checked the one in the includes folder and it seems fine.

Now I'm going to check the one in the admin folder..

Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

I'm inclined to think you have some odd content in your define pages and in your ezpages, because it appears as though once certain pages on your site attempt to do their display, suddenly they are trying to load another page inside the current page, and are somehow hitting the page-not-found page, but not finding it complete.

Should I replace those pages?

Also, the error message appears in pages like "My Account" or the checkout pages, and I don't think any of those are linked to EZpages or define pages.

Re: Default Problem with shopping cart, contact us pages..

So what should I do? Should I replace those pages?

The definitive answer: Maybe. Maybe not. What you've got is not a simple problem.

You've done numerous customizations to your site. It could be a result of several things.

The link I posted earlier explains how to compare your current live site against a master set of files, and identify changes as well as extra files.

You need to look at every difference (files that are different, missing, or extra), and see whether what's in every difference ... makes sense or not. If it does, leave it. If it doesn't, adjust it to what "does" make sense.

You could start by removing your added files in your custom language folders and/or your custom template folder.

Or you could set up a fresh site in another directory (and a separate database), and begin applying your customizations to it one at a time until you bust it. That would give you a clue about where the problem is.

when did all this start happening?I'm not exactly sure. I just discovered the problem 2 days ago. I listed all the files I had edited in recent weeks, and the only other thing I can think of that would affect this was my SSL install. Strange thing is, it was working fine a few days ago..
