Apple Zen Support Thread

Hi,

First of all, great template.

What I'm having a problem with is the logo. I've changed the logo to what I am wanting, the only problem is that my logo is larger in size than the default logo.

Where do I change the settings to suit the dimensions of my logo? I'm needing to drop the first grey bar down a touch.

I need to remove the "Home Log In" from the top of the page. Just spent the morning and most of the afternoon going through the support thread, if it's there I have missed, so any help would be appreciated.

Have you looked in the header.php file? That would be my guess anyway.

If I put a &npsp in place of Home on the includes/languages/english/appel_zen/header.php it also takes out Home on the drop down nav bar.

any other suggestions would be welcome.

Hi, I need some help in modifying how the "Units in Stock" text appears on all product pages.
My inventory is Made to Order so i don't have any inventory.
Can I toggle the QTY Units in Stock from displaying under the product page or can I modify this text to suit my type of inventory?
I looked at various setups in the Admin to toggle this displayed value but have had no success at this point.
I appreciate and assistance you may lend as I have really tried to find a solution for this.

Of course after I post my thread I find the answer in existing threads... thanks for already having resolved this question....

halleluya! i figured it out... only took 7 hours!!!

I encountered a problem with my side boxes. I have apple zen 1.3.8 installed. Beautiful template. Then I installed the security patch yesterday and upgraded my computer to IE8. With IE8 the sideboxes display correct on the whole site. But if I use a the older version the side boxes display on the home page below the main text on the left hand side. Same for the shipping info, everything else is fine. Now I believe it might have to do with me uploading the security patch, but I am not sure.

I fixed my issue, which was the PAYPAL sidebox, title was too long.

I edited the paypal.php in the MODULES/SIDEBOXES/ folder from TEXT_PAYPAL_VERIFIED_SELLER TO PAYPAL_VERIFIED

Try this:

Remove SPECIALS from sideboxes

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried them. but I still have the same problem. What puzzles me, is, that the sideboxes display correct on every other page, except for the homepage.
I spoke with my hosting company and he told me:
Quote: "I just tried it in several browsers (chrome, opera, firefox and IE8) and it seems to be fine, except for IE6. The only thing I can see is that IE6 does not support certain coding or a script on that site ."
Would you have anymore suggestions I could try?

I have question about the estimated shipping pop up box that I use in apple zen. Everything works ok if the customer or guest types in a valid zip/postal code, and the upsxml module takes over.

But if they leave it blank for example or make an error then I have issues. Basically the window will not refresh all it says is [close window]. Even when I press estimate shipping a second time from the shopping cart window it is still blank and the customer has to leave the site and come back in for the estimated shipping to work again.

Something is not allowing the estimated shipping pop up window to referesh.

What can I do to fix this issue?

A correction to the above post: Only happens in guest mode as if the customer is logged in it works fine because their shipping address should already be automatically entered.

This issue is preventing the guest from having a second chance to enter a correct zip/postal code and I fear that this may deter them from continuing from shopping without this estimate information being readily available.

I just installed your great template at http://kensprosounds.com/shop. I touched the css file just to change to the red color. Everything looks fine, but the horizontal navigation menu is flush left instead of centered. Any help is appreciated!

How can I get the images of the products in subcategories to show up when i click on the products main category. Right now only "new" product images show up in the subcategory display . But if products are older than a month (defined by new products) then none show up.
