Apple Zen Support Thread

Further to my last post - it looks to me like the image size is correct its just that because I've used html (src image) its always going to place the image slightly down and across to the right slightly. Is there a way of placing an image in the code that defines that main box in the middle of the page?

Re: Apple Zen Support Thread

duxfield:

thanks alot for all those answers :)

Yeah - I actually wanted the image in the middle of the page...like I have it now...but so that it doesn't sit outside the borders like it is at the moment. Just renaming my header image (the bit with Six Volts Clothing in it) to logo.giff displayed that fine so I'm happy with the header as it is.

So to correct the alignment of the main image so that it nice nicely within the borders do you think I'll just need to leave it a line of html code in the Define Pagers (in Define_main_page.php) editor but make it a bit smaller? Cause at the moment I have not set any height or width dimensions on the image. Thanks

Hi duxfield,

So now I'm understanding that you'd like that middle image to fill the entire home page?

Turn off the right box totally in your admin, under "Configuration", "Layout Settings"... there's a Column Right Status - Global, change it to 0.

Then in your css add this:

#indexHomeBody .centerColumn {padding:0; margin:0}

this removes the padding on .centerColumn for the home page only.

Re: Apple Zen Support Thread

well it seems I have not used the correct terminolgy in regards to what part of the page I want things. Yes, I'd like the middle image (the one with the red and black words and the picture of the t-shirt on it) to fill right up to the borders on the home page only.

Re: Apple Zen Support Thread

Hi all
I am new at this and don’t know how to program in php. I love the apple template and have everything setup almost the way I want it. The open item is that I cannot find a way of having the drop down menu show a link to the forum (phpbb). Any help including a code segment would be helpful

Do you want it as a top level link (like contact us) or do you want it perhaps under information?

You removed the image for that section, but did not remove its height. Change #centerColumnOuter to this:

#centerColumnOuter {
    margin:-.1em .5em 0 .5em;
    width:70em;
    position:relative;
        clear:both;
    }

quote]

Hi Jade - I tried this and it still leaves those little bits of border there. Also, if you look at my site you'll see the main image has now centered in the home page but there is still some white space around the edge of the image where it doesn't meet the border exactly (three out of four sides by my eyesight). Do you know why that is?

I didn't turn off the right box totally (admin, Configuration, Layout Settings, turn off Column Right Status - Global) because if you do that the lower border graphic gets moved to the top, immediately under the Breadcrumb bar.

Thank you for helping.

Hi there,

You now have two sections of #centerColumnOuter. I meant for you to REPLACE the older #centerColumnOuter, not ADD the one above. SO remove the second one and that will fix that issue.

Can you please disable the right box totally, then I can see about that issue you mention.

Re: Apple Zen Support Thread

I think top level would be the best option or a top level titled links where other links could be below it

Hi!

You can hardcode the phpbb forum link (without using PHP) like this:

Open up includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_drop_menu.php and lets say you want the forum link to show up after CONTACT US. This is what the contact us link and the following forum link would look like.

<li class="submenu"><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_CONTACT_US, '', 'NONSSL'); ?>"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CONTACT_US; ?></a></li>
<li class="submenu"><a href="http://www.yourforumlinkhere.com/">FORUM</a></li>

Ok, we'll address this one by one, and hopefully I'm understanding what you want.

To remove the top section with "HOME and LOGIN", open up includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php and REMOVE:

  <div id="navMainWrapper">
    <div id="navMain">
      <div id="navMainLinks">
        <ul class="back">
          <li><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . '">'; ?><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG; ?></a></li>
          <?php if ($_SESSION['customer_id']) { ?>
          <li><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_LOGOFF, '', 'SSL'); ?>"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_LOGOFF; ?></a></li>
          <li><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_ACCOUNT, '', 'SSL'); ?>"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_MY_ACCOUNT; ?></a></li>
          <?php
      } else {
        if (STORE_STATUS == '0') {
?>
          <li><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_LOGIN, '', 'SSL'); ?>"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_LOGIN; ?></a></li>
          <?php } } ?>
          <?php if ($_SESSION['cart']->count_contents() != 0) { ?>
          <li><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART, '', 'NONSSL'); ?>"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS; ?></a></li>
          <li><a href="<?php echo zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL'); ?>"><?php echo HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT; ?></a></li>
          <?php }?>
        </ul>
      </div>
      <div id="navMainSearch">
        <?php require(DIR_WS_MODULES . 'sideboxes/search_header.php'); ?>
      </div>
    </div>
  </div>
  <div class="clearBoth"></div>

To remove that grey section to the left and right of the drop down menu header, REMOVE this from the stylesheet.css:

#dropMenuWrapper {
	background:#929292; /* medium grey bar outside of the header menu */
	}

To get the gray gradient backround to go all the way up the site REPLACE the body section with this:

body {
	background:url(../images/site-bg-grey.gif) repeat-x;
        }

AND also REPLACE #headerWrapper to this:

#headerWrapper {
width:100%;
text-align:center;
margin:0 auto;
}

Now since your LOGO has a white background, it may look funny with the grey background going all the way up.

I see you've already got the product image to the right.

The BUTTON_ADD_SELECTED_ALT issue... it looks like there's something wrong with your coding on the product listing page, because its not pointing to:
includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/buttons/english/button_add_selected.gif

Open up includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_modules_product_listing.php and make sure that around line 19 and 58, you have this code:

<div class="buttonRow forward"><?php echo zen_image_submit(BUTTON_IMAGE_ADD_PRODUCTS_TO_CART, BUTTON_ADD_PRODUCTS_TO_CART_ALT, 'id="submit1" name="submit1"'); ?></div>

As to your very last problem (fatal error) I'm guessing that you're not using zen cart 1.3.7??

Re: Apple Zen Support Thread

Got every other top work! :D Expect for the BUTTON_ADD_SELECTED_ALT issue, I dont have tpl_modules_product_listing.php in MY_TEMPLATE but i do have it in default_template. Any idea?? :ohmy: I have already try add the tpl_modules_product_listing.php in MY_TEMPLATE and still getting the same error.

Also for my last problem, I am using 1.3.6, Do i need to upgrade to 1.3.7 to get this work?
