eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

vmmeup:

Has anyone had success with the most recent version of this mod? I just downloaded it, configured it and exported a CSV file from it. When I try to import to TurboLister it will import about half of them and then fail. The ones that do get imported don't have the correct information in the correct field. Any suggestions?

Also just a note I can only export the data when I choose store mode (7). When I choose auciton mode I get the same error and the post above 1054 Unknown column 'p.products_ebay' in 'field list'in:

I believe you're having the same problem I have experienced. It has something to do with the character set. This mod is the only one that generates descriptions with extra tabs or some strange code which makes it impossible to import successfully into Turbo Lister unless you manually remove all the garbage from your descriptions before uploading or you don't have the character issue.

I am not sure why this is the case as the same problem doesn't exist with any of Numinix's feeders.

It's the wacky TurboLister program, not the feeder. What I have done, with success, is to create one listing in TurboLister and then export it as a TL compatible file. Use this as your spreadsheet template and then cut and paste from your zen exporter file. Since it's a comma seperated value file you can get some weird problems if you have commas in your titles or descriptions. I can't remember off the top of my head if you can escape commas or use something like &com; or whatever the html special character code is.

Here's a sample file that works, just open it with your spreasheet and make sure that it opens it with commas as the delimiter. I included one of our product fields so you can see what needs to go where. For some reason the counter still doesn't register with TL, so if you want a counter you will have to manually change each listing in TL to include the counter.

You must have a different situation. I usually do what you actually described (which export Turbo Lister and copy and paste). However, the file generated from eBay Turbo Lister contains bogus characters (in the description field only). Your solution does not take care of that.

Thanks for the post though!

Re: eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

I resorted to just deleting all the info in the descriptions field before I import. I want my ebay descritions to have a different format then my zen ones anyway. SO once I did that everything else imported fine and I set the descriptions manually.

Note: If anyone uses or hosts a phpprobid auction site this can also be usefull. I have exported from zen, then imported into Turbolister, then I export from turbo list, then import into bulklister to list on a phpprobid site. You could also just tweak the csv file for the bulklister app without using turbo lister, but the bulk list app supports tall the turbo listing settings the way it exports them.

Re: eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

Lack of time and interest has kept me from updating this module.

However, some good nes is that I've written a new feeder for SingleFeed.com, which although may be released commerically, has a new function in it that I will put into the eBay exporter. What it does is it creates shipping prices for within a single zone (USA for example; more zones to be supported later). It only supports the Zones Table Rates Module currently, but I can look into supporting a few other main shipping modules by importing their functions for creating prices.

I hope to be able to use the live processing of the shipping mods like Canada Post and Fedex, etc. But, this will be a big job and may not be ready for quite some time. Stay tuned...

Re: eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

Have installed the eBay exporter into zen cart 1.37 but no matter how we set things up the tax is never applied to the prices.

We have tried removing the line of code indicated in a previous post but this made no difference to the output.

Is there another reason that it could not be working?

Re: eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

Hi
I just downloaded and ran the install.sql. Here's how: I went to ZC Admin-->Install SQL Patches-->Upload (after Browse).

On Upload I got this:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'true', 'false'),'), (NULL, 'Compress Feed File', 'EBAY_COMPRESS', 'false', 'Comp' at line 1

From my server information I have:
** Database: ** MySQL 5.0.24a-standard
MySQL Client API version 5.0.16

Running ZC 1.3.7

This is over my head, so please explain what to do next.

Thanks
John

Re: eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

So we have encountered a problem with the eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter.

When we go to export our products, some of our product details come out like this.

Our original code for this product description was:

<p>This 32-page Clever Clock Workbook includes 26 time-learning activities that can be used with any learning clock.</p> <p><b>Age:</b> 6-9 <br /> <b>UPC: </b>765023029970 <br /> <b>CShopper ID: </b>LER2997 <br /> <br />  </p>

I realize that there is an error with the last two br's and the   as it should not be there, however this is not what is causing the rectangles in excel to show up. All that we can see is that what is causing this error are "hard returns" within the code. I do not know if this problem has been addressed but this shows that this mod, at this point in time, is not smart enough to sanitize the code. What I mean by this is that it isn't smart enough to remove extra spaces. This is just a suggestion for change as we have had to go back into every product description, that have errors, and delete those rectangles. What do you think?

Numinix thank you so much for beginning to try to solve this. You are a legend!

Unfort, this did not solve the problem, it actually created a new one. :(

The new one that it created is that A's with an ^ on top of them are now appearing when we go to export.

Here is an example:

Any ideas?

Thanks, again, for beginning to solve this.

  1. There is a setting in the eBay configuration for adding a markup. It is currently set at 100 which means 100% of the store price. Putting this to 105 will add 5% to your price.

  2. This would be setup in Turbo Lister 2.0

  3. Not sure what you are referring to. There is no way to limit on a per product basis. At this time you can only exclude by category or by specific words in the product's title.

Re: eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

Ok, Thanks. I meant for example on the ebay config:

Money order> Choose 0 or 1? Whats yes and whats no?

Also:

I have exported my CSV file its a different order than Turbo Lister?

I have tried to import and get many errors...

Can I change those listings to make the seamless?

THX

Re: eBay Turbo Lister 2.0 Exporter Support Thread

You would need to write a script that recognizes the comma separated values and imports them into the database.

If you aren't a programmer it would be difficult for you to do alone. But you may wish to look at the code for Easy Populate.
