Can you please help me add subcategories to main pages?

I had asked this question before, but never got any responses. I am trying to make my main pages more user friendly in the way that the subcategories are listed under the main categories.

Example:

Cookware
Stainless Steel Hard Anodized Nonstick

Small Appliances
Blenders Coffee Machines Food Processors
Mixers Toasters

Bakeware
Cake pans Muffin pans Bread pans

etc.

Right now, my categories are just listed as:

Cookware
Appliances
Bakeware
etc.

and customers are having problems navigating since they have to click through so many different links and pages to get to what they want.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? Is it a simple fix or is it something difficult to modify? Are there any instructions on what to go through and change to modify it? Thanks to anyone that can help!

P.S. I'm also very illiterate when it comes to PHP so I need "dumbed-down" instructions please LOL

Re: Can you please help me add subcategories to main pages?

There is an Expanded Category List mod in downloads, although that lists categories, subs and products, which may be more than you want. I am sure it would be possible to modify it to not show the products.

There is also a more recent mod posted by fragfutter (not in ZC downloads) called Uncollapsed Categories Tree which reportedly does exactly what you want.
