Scrolling Featured Sidebox support thread

Couldn't find it by searching in the downloads area and not available in dezina.com.

Still testing on various zencart releases, so not available
as yet.

Hi Misty,

I put the tpl_featured.php in the path, this ist´s an unique file that donwload in the free software add-ons options in https://www.zen-cart.com
I change to enable status in controler sideboxes option
I change in the config->maximum valuez -> Random Featured Products for Box to 5 value

with all this steps dont work. This add-on its buyit of freeware?

Scrolling featured box works great except in IE6. I did the fix for the images being offset in IE6 but now the scrolling images start scrolling at the top of the featured .box_head rather than the featured .box_body in IE 6 only. So, the "Featured [More]' text gets scrolled over.
Any ideas?

Does this wonderful Mod works in CenterBox as well? If not how can I make it work in the CenterBox? Or should I be looking at the slideshow instead. I do not use left or right sidebox.

Yes, add to define main page...adding to centre box will
be complicated.

I have to do some googling regarding javascript slideshow.

Have this fitted and working but code cannot validate for xhtml because of marquee tages, those tags are depricated.

Anyone found a work around for this?

Thanks- will have to try as I dont think It's possible to change this one as even the demo site shows 543 Errors, 56 warning(s).

Do I completely unistall the first one and just fit this new mod do you know? Kinda new to zen and this will be the first mod I have to remove etc.

You should be able to just install the new mod since it will overwrite the existing sidebox files.

Make sure you have more than one featured product selected in
admin -> maximum values -> Random Featured Products for SideBox

this has display error in IE 6 and 7

Would it be possible to randomize which image the scrolling sidebox starts on just like the normal box does, because at the moment the box restarts on the same product upon every page refresh.

This means quite often not all my specials get shown as the customer moves to a different page before all the products are shown.

Another possibility I was thinking about was the box pausing between pages and then continuing from where it was, rather than starting all over again...if you understand what I mean!! :blink:
