It really is a bug that breaks functionality of a script?

Nope, the script is still working but of course I wanted to let you know when I received that error so it can be addressed in future updates :)

Besides, since it said stat failed, I was curious why the failure.

Of course that's right! Thank you! And this inaccuracy is fixed.

BlessIsaacola:

Because there is no such file - not yet created. In order to avoid this warning, you must first verify there is a file or not, and then watch the date of its creation. But the functionality is not affected :)

Nevertheless, it's already fixed.

I thought it was just supposed to be an xml file generated instead of html mixed with it.

Thanks again for any help

Any ideas? Thanks

Re: RSS2 Feed Contribution

Hi Andrew,

I was wondering if this mod is working perfectly with 1.3.9? Since I installed few times on 1.3.8 carts but I've installed on 2 cart with 1.3.9 and the configuration settings don't seem to work.

Like if I don't want description generated, I set it to "false" but still showing description. Same thing with images, not sure which one of the 2 settings for images is which but neither obey the settings. It's like the configuration has a life of its own. :cry:

Re: RSS2 Feed Contribution

Hi Andrew,

I am using your mod and it works great for me,
I am having a problem with using sitemap mod on my site therefore decided to use RSS feed as sitemap for my products to google.

I sent the rss feed to google and it was excepted but only one page from 126 is indexed for about a week.

do you know what might be the problem?

Thanks!

Re: RSS2 Feed Contribution

Ok I feel like I'm beating my head against a wall here so the time came to ask for help lol. I just upgrading my store to 1.5 and installed the 1.5 version of RSS feed and it works great except for one problem. When I look at my new products feed it is showing an add date of Nov 30th and 11:00 for each product. This is causing the products not to post on my RSS Graffiti page on FB. Does anyone know why it's doing this???

Thanks

Re: RSS2 Feed Contribution

Hi All
I’ve been using this mod for a long time and it’s always worked perfectly, right up until I added an SSL.
Now the RSS is working really strangely but I don’t know how to fix it. Firefox hardly renders the page at all, sometimes I get the first one I click on and then no more after that but I guess that first one is from cache.
IE opens it and shows most of it but with a ‘Navigation to the webpage was cancelled’ message across the top on most pages.
Don’t know what to do because these are indexed pages and have been for a while but Cuepower’s RSS have been indexed for up to 6 years and I have to add SSL there as well.
I have reinstalled the mod and it’s running on a 139h install
I would really appreciate any advice anyone can give

Re: RSS2 Feed Contribution

Hello,

I looked around but couldn't find the answer I'm looking for. Is there any way to restrict certain categories and subcategories from showing up on the feed?
One of my stores has 2 different sections, one for retail and one for wholesale as it's better for us this way, and I would like to completely restrict the wholesale category and subcategories from showing up on the feed and not send anything new in this category through the feed. Can this be accomplished?

Thank you for the help.

My plugin only for version 1.3.x.
What has changed for version 1.5.0, how it works in version 1.5.0 - a question to mprough.

header_php.php
Find

      $disp_order_default = PRODUCT_NEW_LIST_SORT_DEFAULT;
      require(DIR_WS_MODULES . zen_get_module_directory(FILENAME_LISTING_DISPLAY_ORDER));

Replace by

      $order_by = " order by p.products_last_modified DESC, pd.products_name";

But the results are very surprising.
It is better to use this:

      $order_by = " order by products_date DESC, pd.products_name";
