Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

I know you set this up for your store, but I'm hoping it's simple enough for someone like you to add four more tags. Any chance, please? I know these are the tags-

<PCDestZip> <PCOrderNum> <TaxInd> <Tax>

and I know they go in this part of modules/payment/paymentech.php-

<NewOrder>
				<IndustryType>EC</IndustryType>
				<MessageType>" . ( MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYMENTECH_AUTHORIZATION_TYPE == 'Authorize' ? 'A' : 'AC' ) . "</MessageType>
				<BIN>" . MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYMENTECH_BIN . "</BIN>
				<MerchantID>" . $MerchantID . "</MerchantID>
				<TerminalID>" . MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYMENTECH_TERMINAL_ID . "</TerminalID>
				<AccountNum>" . $_POST['cc_number'] . "</AccountNum>
				<Exp>" . $_POST['cc_expires'] . "</Exp>
				<CurrencyCode>" . ( $_SESSION['currency'] == 'CAD' ? '124' : '840' ) . "</CurrencyCode>
				<CurrencyExponent>2</CurrencyExponent>"
				. ( ( $_POST['cc_type'] == 'MasterCard' ) || ( $_POST['cc_type'] == 'Visa' ) ? '
				' : '') . "
				<CardSecVal>" . $_POST['cc_cvv'] . "</CardSecVal>
				<AVSzip>" . $order->billing['postcode'] . "</AVSzip>
				<AVSaddress1>" . $order->billing['street_address'] . "</AVSaddress1>"
				. ( $order->billing['suburb'] ? '
				<AVSaddress2>' . $order->billing['suburb'] . '</AVSaddress2>' : '' ) . "
				<AVScity>" . $order->billing['city'] . "</AVScity>
				<AVSstate>" . $paymentech_state_billing_code . "</AVSstate>
				<AVSphoneNum>" . substr(eregi_replace("[^0-9]", null, $order->customer['telephone']), 0, 14) . "</AVSphoneNum>
				<AVSname>" . $_POST['cc_owner'] . "</AVSname>
				<AVScountryCode>" . $paymentech_country_billing_code . "</AVScountryCode>
				<OrderID>" . $new_order_id . "</OrderID>
				<Amount>" . number_format(($order->info['total'] * $order->info['currency_value']), 2) *100 . "</Amount>
			</NewOrder>

My skills are limited and I tried adding them based on what's already there, but don't see a straightforward pattern.

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

s_mack,
Was this developed using the Tampa platform or the Salem platform? I would assume Tampa, but just want to be sure. I have been recently moved from Tampa to Salem and need to re-certify :(

giftmeister... // commenting would work if that was php. In that section it is XML so commenting does work just fine as long as it is the proper commenting syntax.

As originally stated when I provided this contrib... it was set up for how MY STORE was using it. Of course you have to modify it to suit your own situation. I don't use purchase cards or discover cards for example.

And the AVS works just fine for my MC transactions

Q? do you write this code for a linux server or a windows server?

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

An unexpected credit card gateway error occured. Your order was not processed. The details have been sent to the store manager who will contact you to help resolve this problem.

Is this because the code is written to call on a cURL proxy?

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

Its written in PHP, which is not dependent on the OS of the server. Though I'd imagine 99% of the testing has been done on *nix based servers since that's what most of the web is on. It really shouldn't matter.

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

No idea. It could be anything. You can't tell by the error shown to the customer. You need to look at what errors you're getting on the server side.

There's nothing magical about this contribution. It is simply an adaptation of another credit card module (if I recall, I believe it was authorize.net) modified to give the Paymentech folks the data they want in the format they want it.

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

I am trying to perform the first test in the certification process on the shopping cart side and I cant get past this first test transaction. Plus I am not getting the Transaction response data. I have been trying everything I can to make this work. I have given my IP to Orbital, I have performed successfully the virtual test procedures and now I need to perform these test on the shopping cart. Do you have any key suggestions. I am using this module on a windows server thru GoDaddy. That is why I asked before because godaddy told me that no curl proxy is used on a windows server and I didn't know If I needed to change something
on Line 463

of //*http://mysite. com/zencart/includes/modules/payment/paymentech.php

if (CURL_PROXY_REQUIRED == 'True') {
$proxy_tunnel_flag = (defined('CURL_PROXY_TUNNEL_FLAG') && strtoupper(CURL_PROXY_TUNNEL_FLAG) == 'FALSE') ? false : true;
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPPROXYTUNNEL, $proxy_tunnel_flag);
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_PROXYTYPE, CURLPROXY_HTTP);
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_PROXY, CURL_PROXY_SERVER_DETAILS);

should I have this set to true or false on line 463

go daddy informed me that since I am on a windows server they don’t send thru a cURL proxy
I am on the home stretch and I cant seem to figure out this one little thing. So frustrating.

This stuff below is from my email response from zen cart.
ProcStatus = -

Customer = Me

Cart contents = Array is OK

Transaction request data = is OK

Transaction response data = Not getting this data

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

I did NO testing without curl. Perhaps it is required. There's a good chance that is your problem, and as I have zero experience with Windows based servers I can't really help. I still maintain it shouldn't matter - there is curl for Windows too - but if your particular host isn't supporting it then that may be a problem

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

http://www.c o n t a c t d b.com/condb/condb/

Hi orbital gave us this set of information to use the paymentech gateway. We already integrated paymentech in zen cart. Do we need to encode this set of information in the paymentech modules in zen cart?

Standard XML URL's:
Primary URL: https://orbitalvar1.paymentech.net
Secondary URL: https://orbitalvar2.paymentech.net

Orbital Gateway Web Services certification address:
Primary: https://wsvar.paymentech.net/PaymentechGateway
Secondary: https://wsvar2.paymentech.net/PaymentechGateway

Connection Username: xxxxxx
Connection Password: xxxxxx

I'm not sure what you're asking. Slow down, read the readme... take it one step at a time.

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

The info I posted above was the information given to me by orbital. They don't know how it could be used in zen cart.

I didn't see any instruction regarding the information I gave above in the read me file. I'm also waiting for the certification. Just want to make sure of all the necessary requirements needed for the integration.

Thanks

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

I am trying to use paymentech on my site and am running into a few problems, 1st the transactions are not going thru because of 9717, so I am working with them and godaddy to get this resolved. So on to the problem that I think you guys can help with. After the 9717 error occurs my email log shows the email address it is being sent to is '.STORE_OWNER_EMAIL_ADDRESS.' instead of info@.......
I looked through out the code to see where to fix this, but do not know php well enough. Can you please help. Here is part of the code from the paymentech.php file that Im using
Thanks in advance

} else { //Gateway returned Message/System error

		$email_body .= "ApprovalStatus = " . $ApprovalStatus . " - " . $RespCode . " - " . $RespMsg . "\n";

		$email_body .= "Customer = " . $order->customer['lastname'] . ', ' . $order->customer['firstname'] . "\n\n";

		$email_body .= "Cart contents = " . print_r ( $_SESSION['cart']->get_products(), true ) . "\n\n";

		$email_body .= "Transaction request data = " . $post_string . "\n\n";

		$email_body .= "Transaction response data = " . $authorize . "\n";

		zen_mail ( STORE_OWNER, STORE_OWNER_EMAIL_ADDRESS, MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYMENTECH_EMAIL_SYSTEM_ERROR_SUBJECT, $email_body, STORE_NAME, EMAIL_FROM );

		$messageStack->add_session('checkout_payment', MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYMENTECH_TEXT_GATEWAY_ERROR, 'error');

		$payment_error_return = 'paymentech_cc_owner=' . urlencode($_POST['cc_owner']) . '&paymentech_cc_expires_month=' . substr($_POST['cc_expires'], 0, 2) . '&paymentech_cc_expires_year=' . substr($_POST['cc_expires'], 2, 4) . '&paymentech_cc_number=' . urlencode($_POST['cc_number']) . ( MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYMENTECH_USE_CVV == 'True' ? '&paymentech_cc_cvv=' . urlencode($_POST['cc_cvv']) : '' );

		zen_redirect(zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_PAYMENT, $payment_error_return, 'SSL', true, false));

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

When you see something in all caps, such as "STORE_OWNER_EMAIL_ADDRESS" then its a "constant". That is, you have something somewhere that is defining what that constant translates into. Typically that is either a define file or an entry in your database. In this case, it is from your database.

To be honest, its been a long time since I've worked in the nitty gritty of Zen Cart so someone else can better help - but this isn't really a question specifically for this module. It appears that for some reason, either that constant hasn't been defined or accessing it is problematic. Your first step would be to go into your admin pages and make sure your email is in fact defined. In your admin panel, go to configuration-->E-Mail Options and look check that "Email Address (Displayed to Contact you)" has a valid email address defined.

Good luck

Steven,

Just curious what kind of merchant account you have with paymentech.

Currently the company I work for uses Paymentech to process their CC transactions in the store, we're also looking to add processing over the internet.

Did you get the orbital virtual terminal solution, or did you go for the hosted checkout?

I am just trying to figure out what I need in order to get this all done.

Thanks for the information.

orbital virtual terminal.

I didn't even know they had a hosted checkout. I suppose that would be simpler. Not as flexible... but simpler.

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

I have found a bug in this module. It does not work with amounts > $999 because of the use of number_format. The comma added by number_format() breaks with the multiplication truncating the number. Instead the 4 parameter version of number format should be used with a blank thousands separator and blank decimal separator, and the * 100 removed.

<Amount>" . number_format(($order->info['total'] * $order->info['currency_value']), 2) *100 . "</Amount>
should be changed to
<Amount>" . number_format(($order->info['total'] * $order->info['currency_value']), 2, '', '') . "</Amount>

I'm not so sure about this currency_value thing being in there either, but it seems to work for me (single currency) so I'm not going to mess with it.

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

Good catch. I think. Be sure it works with a round number though (zero cents) because not multiplying by 100 makes me wonder how that would work. Actually, I must have already caught this bug (and forgot to update for the rest of you?? Hmm... selfish of me) because this is what I have for that line:

<Amount>" . number_format(($order->info['total'] * $order->info['currency_value']), 2, '.', '') *100 . "</Amount>

Blank thousands, same as you... but still use decimal and *100. I think that's probably important. Yeah, now I remember... with the original code, the comma was causing havoc when over $1,000 and it would get inputted into Paymentech as "$1". I'm not sure how I managed to not come back on here with the fixed code... it was a long time ago.

The currency_value part is imperative for those with multiple currencies. For single currency, it should make no difference because that value will always be 1.

  • Steven

PS. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND PAYMENTECH. Not now that PayPal Pro is available in Canada.
Paymentech, like a lot of non-PayPal providers, charge a LOT of "hidden" fees. I calculated that for 2009 they took 8.3% of my sales. A far cry from the 1.9% rate I signed up for. The rest is made up in fees, fees, and more fees. Some of which exist on PayPal but many of which don't. PayPal at 2.3% even with adding the monthly fees would have come out to 4.1% last year - or less than HALF what I paid to Paymentech. I'm locked in until October of this year though.

Re: Paymentech (aka VersaPay, aka Orbital)

Hello, did anyone else get a letter from Paymentech about their merchant ID being changed as of August 1st to a 7 digit number?

Has anyone tested it out? Should the module work as is?
