Install says Curl not installed, but it is.

I am having some problems myself too. My host is Godaddy and I am getting the following messages:

* CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company. 7 =>
* CURL problems detected: 56 => Received error code 403 from proxy

Is it save for me to continue with the cart setup and ignore those two errors and then just make sure I do the Godaddy cURL configuration once inside (Admin->Configuration->My Store) as shown here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61528 ?

I inadvertently began a new thread with the same issue. My apologies. But I thought I would share what seems to be a good outcome.
I too have cURL installed, working, BUT getting error warnings when trying to install 1.3.8
