But I still don't know how to link pictures to be viewed in a set. Help?

I've just installed this mod and everything seems to work fine, except that the captions are garbled (they are in Japanese). I read through this thread and noticed a few other people had this problem but no one ever responded to them. Has anyone figured out how to make captions work with foreign languages?

I figured out what the problem was, so I figured I would post for anyone else who may find it helpful.

The problem is the htmlentities function in the tpl_modules_main_product_image.php file. You can read more about htmlentities here. The function has a third parameter to specify a character set, but even after specifying UTF-8 I had garbled text, so I simply removed the function. As far as I'm aware, you should only need it if you want to display links or something in your caption - if you're only using text in captions you should be fine without it.

Simply make the following changes to lines 20 and 22 in \includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE\templates\tpl_modules_main_product_image.php:

• Try specifying a character set to see if that works for you (it didn't work with Japanese):

20:   $fual_slimbox_title = htmlentities($review->fields['products_name'], ENT_QUOTES, UTF-8);
21: } else {
22:   $fual_slimbox_title = htmlentities($products_name, ENT_QUOTES, UTF-8);

• Or simply remove the function altogether, as I did:

20:   $fual_slimbox_title = $review->fields['products_name'];
21: } else {
22:   $fual_slimbox_title = $products_name;

A list of specifiable character sets can be found on the page about htmlentities that I posted above.

I've been trying to get my shipping estimator to display in Fual Slimbox, but with no luck...

I saw post #70 dealing with this, but I'm afraid there wasn't enough information for me to implement this with the shipping estimator.

Anyone else have any luck doing this who could share how it was accomplished?

From the post I linked above, it seems that*** rel="lightbox[gallery]"*** has to be included in the <a href> statement that calls the shipping estimator page - or something to that effect - to get the estimator to display using Fual Slimbox.

Problem is, I'm not sure where the estimator is called from...

Aren't there any takers on this?

I have installed Slimbox and IH 2. Here are my issues:

When you click on an image the overlay and image displays properly, however there is no watermark visible. Watermarks through IH2 is enabled and works.

When viewing additional product images you need to view each image in it's own windows. The "prev" and "next" options do not appear.

Any suggestions? I've been searching for a solution for this for a while. Thank you!

by installing this does it affect any other modules installed?

Dunno what's going on with joyjoy's install (there is clearly an issue based on her description of the problem) but what you describe is EXACTLY how this module works..

Installed in less than a minute. Works perfectly and immediately with the additional images. The only thing I noticed is that previously centered main image now aligns left. Not a big deal to fix. Just wish all the mods were this smooth!

Just wish all the mods were this smooth!Probably overwrote one of your existing template files with the one from this mod.. I suggest that you use Winmerge or Beyond Compare for all your module installs going forward so that you can merge module changes to files you may have already modified.. I don't install ANY modules without doing a comparison to my site backup to merge in any files in common.. (especially if more than one module modifies the same file)

i just installed: slimbox_zencart_1.3.9e_27072010
it work fine if i use one image which is resized by zencart, but when i uploaded _LRG images it doesn't work. Window is opening and trying to dispaly an image but no result

anyone got an idea what i can do?

ok, i just realized that i got different lightbox and it doesn't work the way i want :(

and what about fual slimbox? does it support what i need?

i manually crop big images so they look better as a thumbnail and a full image i upload to "large" directory.
will it work with fual slimbox? if not how can i do it?

Honestly it sounds like you have both modules installed incorrectly.. I suspect the real issue is that the files that both IH2 and Fual Slimbox have in common haven't been correctly merged. (Hence why they don't work together) Wish I could tell you there was a quick fix, but I can't.

I suggest the following steps to resolve your issue..

• Roll back to a version of your store without IH2 and Fual Slimbox installed
• Install IH2 and configure it to your desired settings.
• BACKUP your store (yes AGAIN -- you should back up your store EVERY TIME before you install a module so IF things don't work or something breaks you can roll back)
• BEFORE YOU INSTALL FUAL SLIMBOX use a program like Winmerge or Beyond Compare and look for any files in your store backup that will be overwritten by Fual Slimbox and MERGE the Fual Slimbox code with the code already in these files. THEN upload Fual Slimbox..

Hi. This Slimbox is amazing and so easy to install compared to other stuff. Just one thing I'd like to change in the default config. Is there a way to change it so that it will close by clicking also on the image, so anywhere on the screen?

Oh. and there's only 1 image per product so no need to go next/prev.

If you meant "or click anywhere on the screen to close the image" it already does that..

thanks for the response. I replied...but I don't know where it went. :blink:

Both of these add ons work fine independently from each other. IH2 was working before I installed Slimbox....I don't think that they were installed properly but the file merge is new to me. I didn't do this at all with either install so my files are probably clashing...

How would I go about doing this? What files do I need to merge? thank you again!
