Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

Ok now I found out the problem.

Install and uninstall script is incompatible with Zen Cart when using prefix on table names (more like ZC bug).

Running the script from Tools - Install SQL patches the problem accures on the "configuration" table name.

Zc is supouse to parse sql and replace the "configuration" table name with the prefix version, but does not.
Table name "configuration_group" Zc replaces fine without any problems.

**SOLUTION: **
When table name prefix is used you need to edit and run the script in some database application like "phpmyadmin".
On "phpmyadmin" run the script in SQL section.

Before running script rename the 2 table names in all places they accure.
In my example I use prefix = "zen"

configuration => zen_configuration
configuration_group => zen_configuration_group

Now you can run the script and all should be fine

I use ZC version 1.3.7.
Well not quite sure if this is ZC bug in Tools - Install SQL patches feature or is there something wrong with only my ZC version. My guess is that it is ZC bug.

I have Image handler 2 and Fual Slimbox installed.

Now the Slimbox image apperar too large on screen.
How can I make maximum size limit for Slimbox image?

I have tried to set Slimbox setting to
Width 200 Info
Height 200 Info
iFrame Width 200 Info
iFrame Height 200

also edited Image Handler 2 settings to
IH large image maximum width 100
IH large image maximum height 100

Well in Image Handler manager it seems to have made the Large image smaller as it should but Slimbox still dispalys it huge so it wont even fit the monitor screen.

I fixed the image problem.
I just had to remake all my images and reuopload to server.
Seems like Slimbox displayes the images as original image width.

Not quite unterstand what the widht and hight, iframe etc setting are for?

It would also been nice to have a way to enable Slimbox to use IM2 large images.
Something like checkbox it using IM images etc..
Seems like a wery common that most sites do have IH installed.
Those where just my thoughts.

Well anyway the bottom line is that the mod is excellent allready as it is.

To take your points in order:

1. The script installs fine from Tools -> Install SQL Patches on 1.3.7 and 1.3.8 with table prefixes and that is where you should install them from. I'm not quite sure what else you were trying, but this is the only method you should use.

2. Slimbox should work with IH2 and I agree it should output your IH2 Large image. At the moment Slimbox displays your raw image and I don't really know what it does with IH installed. I don't use IH on my site because I think phpthumb is a much better solution so I don't really want to spend ages coding or supporting something that I will never use. If someone else wants to take that over as an offshoot project that would be great.

3. The sizes in the admin are the starting sizes of the box while it waits to load the first image.

4. iFrame is for displaying webpages in the lightbox. That is something you will need to code for yourself, instructions are in this thread somewhere, it's very easy to do.

5. Is there a way to disable "right click menu" on the image? Yes, but it is a terrible idea, it doesn't stop people from stealing your images. You want to watermark them instead.

I've got IH2 and Fual on my new site (not listed below) and it is pulling the IH2 watermarked image. No problems, smooth installation.

Well Tools -> Install SQL Patches did not work for me any of several ways I tried. So I did run it through phpadmin after editing the file. Just like to note that I am not beginner with databases. It is common problem on several modules that some sql script has to be installed from 3 party app cause of the prefix problems. This problem do not accure in all sql scripts though. Well not going to argue about it, just stating that is what hapened with me. You are the developer of the mod so I bet you know it wery well so all respect to you.

I am wery happy with combination with Slimbog and IH. Slimbox is simply just GREAT. I have popup images on product list and on product detail page image click activates Slimbox. :yes:

I am not worried of stealing thing. In my case I just want to disable right click.

I just noticed that IE6&7 displays a blank box when clicking for larger images. FF is fine.
It's as if it knows the size and the number of images but it doesn't display. I've had to dispable Fual Slimbox until I get a solution because customers have complained.

I don't seem t find anything about this in this thread. Can anyone help?

I just installed this mod and now IM2 is being funky. I'm getting the "Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open 'store/bmz_cache/0/065b81abee1f2ff0e62039458334b3ab.image.135x190.jpg' for writing: Permission denied in /store/includes/classes/bmz_image_handler.class.php on line 652"

but I have not changed any permissions. Uninstalled then installed IM2 again, didn't solve anything.

@khopek <- Have you tried deleting your IH cache, I seem to remember that working for someone else. Or maybe you need to set permissions on you cache folder.

The problem is not with the slimbox code, since it is written to the IE standards, but if you have a certain type of inline JS then this stops Slimbox working. It could also be a server issue, resolving to the wrong address, maybe FF automatically corrects this, but IE doesn't. Do you have a link to a non-functioning site.

The only major (ish) browser where I have seen that Slimbox doesn't work very well is FF 1.5 running on Linux; here the animation is very jerky.

@banswidthjunkie <- I do have some inline java script. It's and Ajax script that include some common text on many of my product pages.

It must be something else beside the inline AJAX script because I turn Slimbox back on and check it on a page that doesn't have the inline script. It still displays a blank box.
There are to other JS files included on the pages. Perhaps they are causing problems. Any help?

I see your problem, it is very strange, but I really have no idea why the picture doesn't display in IE. Without access to the server and the ability to play with the code I dont think it is possible to work out what is going on. Have you tried Zen Lightbox? That might work for you.

Well I turned Slimbox off again for now.

I used to use Lightbox with version 1.3.7, but when I upgraded to 1.3.8a I choose Slimbox.

I think about it for few days then decide on what to do. Perhaps someone else has an idea.

For testing purposes, do you think disabling the other JS would shed any light on this issue?

Hi, I have a question about lightbox.

I have just started using it on our site www.hedgepig.co.uk and it works great - for one image per product. Is it possible to make it work for all the images of products with multiple images? Some products have, for example, 6 images but i can only get lightbox to display one - the main one - could someone please tell me how i can make it show the other pictures? Thanks in advance

It does work for additional images, make sure that they are in the location you see in the toolbar when you hover the mouse over the link.

I just need some help with the sql file.

I am using an automatic install of zen cart that puts a prefix of "zen_" on all of the top level sql database entries for zen cart in order to diffrentiate them from other mysql installs.

I need to know which comands in the sql file reference top level databse entries so that I can rewrite them properly for my database. The fact that zen cart uses simillar database names as you move down through the ranks just makes everything more confusing.

Nevermind. I figured out how to get the code in properly, but it still doesn't work on my zen cart pages (I'm running the latest version). I like the idea, but I'm dissapointed in how touch-and-go it is to get it to work. I see that many people are having problems and the minority of them seem to get it to work out on the first try.

I'll see if there's another way to install lightbox in zencart that isn't too bulky. In the meantime, I'll just leave it like it is.

I'm having trouble with ImageHandler 2 after installing Fual Slimbox on a somewhat outdated but nevertheless 1.3.x version of Zen Cart: ImageHander appears to have forgotten the details about the images it previously cached, and won't allow me to upload more, though the shop itself still works fine! Clearing ImageHandler's cache doesn't help.

I'm biting the bullet and upgrading, because I know I should, but I just wanted to warn others.
