I think the safer way, to make it mode-independent, would be to change the line to the following instead:```
'ship_country_name' => (isset($response['SHIPTOCOUNTRY']) ? urldecode($response['SHIPTOCOUNTRY']) : urldecode($response['SHIPTOCOUNTRYNAME'])));

Just wanted to say that we finally brought the new 1.3.8a version live late last night and it seems to be performing beautifully with customers credit cards being processed and all order details as they should be! Thanks to everyone for their help in solving the problem :clap:

I have looked & found two of these files but neither have enough lines to find 1825, so Im a bit lost as to where to find this exact line to change.
In the better version mentioned by DrByte Its referring to the same location I guess. Not wanting to mess with a such an important php file unless its the right bit.
Im on 1.3.7 & yet to upgrade to the slightly different 1.3.8 version mentioned. Lot of backup again before I do this, while little tinkering is less work on templates.
Does the 1.3.8 upgrade avoid all this error with country codes. Ive changed the chunk within the other php file.
Just this little line struggling to locate.
Not yet made much using my cart but progressing slowly.

After searching the debug emails and trying to learn a little about php scripting i noticed that the script is trying to get data from SHIPTOCOUNTRYNAME but paypal was never returning that field the only field to do with country was SHIPTOCOUNTRY which returns the correct 2 letter country code.

So i changed line 1825 in paypalwpp.php
...
now it appears to work perfectly.

I have now changed that line in the file named paypalwpp.php
However it was on line 1575 at 141kb ?
This was using my editor to find it, thats with my FTP program.

I have taken my site offline as I will have to move over to 1.3.8 as its being far too fussy now about paypal, & losing a few sales on the way.
Unless I have had someone mess up some files, some page templates have suddenly gone adrift too, & Ive done nothing re templates for a few months. Page width/right sideboxes gone all wonky on me showing data that should not be there.

Anyway thanks for the link/line so I could find the right file.

I want to report that I experienced the same error today and I'm in the US, not the UK.

Details of "same error":
Zen 1.3.8 (new installation, not an upgrade)
Using PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Website Payments Pro
Both configured for "Payflow-US" mode.
PayPal Checkout direct from the shopping cart works fine.
PayPal Checkout when going through normal checkout process and then selecting PayPal as the payment method gave the error "(7) 7 - Field format error: 10731-The field Shipping Address Country is required"

I applied the fix that Dr. Byte gave in his post #48 here. Now all works fine.

Well Ive done all that, gone through all those two patches twice, with a fine tooth comb! There is still something it dont like.

Ive sat here with my Wife (her paypal account) & tried to buy a book from our store & it gets right to the end & says the same each time, about the error Shipping Address Country.

I have added numerous links around the site to enable visitors to bypass all that & use a paypal button that takes any amount they wish to pay which works being outside of the shop itself.
Does however defret the object though, but we dont lose too many sales meanwhile, my heads getting sore banging my head in frustration! The site worked great till only about a month ago now.

I can't believe that so long after this thread was started, I upgraded to 1.3.8a and still got this error - shouldn't this be updated in the download files for Zen by now??!

The posted changes are integrated into the upcoming v1.3.9 release.

I was experiencing this issue and scannned this forum but only noted one of the two needed fixes. It took several days of missed transactions before I returned here and found fix#2. Is there anyway we can make it known to others that drop in that two fixes are needed for this file. Or maybe I'm just a solo idiot and its not an issue for others? At the moment I feel dumb for missing fix#2.
