AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

jaycode:

Guys, I've been receiving quite some emails stating the problems while installing / using AIS v3.0. Was the installation process somehow too advanced?

Do you think I'd need to have an installation service?

Please use the forum rather than directly pm-ing me, pleease? To help the other users out there too...

Also, do you guys have any feedback on using this module? Any will help, please help me make this module better for you.

Hello, how much would your installation service cost for this script?

Are there configuration changes I need to make in Zen Cart itself to access the features of the image swapper?

Nope if you have them set up in your template's product display should be fine.

greydawgjr:

Do I need to upload an attribute swatch image or is that handled through the AJAX manager?

Nope you don't need to. The thumbnails changes when you select different attribute - but well you can if you want to add images next to the attributes options.

greydawgjr:

I'd love to get this running so I can begin experimenting with it. Once I do I'll post some complete documentation start to finish for setting it up to hopefully take a load off of Jay so he can do more of what he does best!

Thanks!
Thanks a lot bro!

Well haven't put up a price on it, might just do it for free for a few times, just to know how much work do I need to do to install it on running shops. Could you pm me?

Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

Chuckwa:

Hi Jay, I got it working. I deleted all the old image files in the folder, and it seems to have fixed it.

I do have one product that no matter what doesn't seem to be working:
Baby Treeson

This is the only product that I'm using with attributes. I have "Use Attributes" turned off in Image Swapper, as I want to use the same photos regardless of which attribute is chosen. Any idea how to get the images to work?

The other thing I'm noticing, I now have 2 "Add to cart" buttons. I don't remember having 2 before installing Image Swapper. What do I need to do to remove the bottom button?

Sorry forgot to reply to this. Remove all lines from <!--bof Add to Cart Box -->
to <!--eof Add to Cart Box --> in tpl_product_info_display. Image problems have been solved I suppose?

Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

Hi Jay. Remove those lines from which file?

Also, no, the image problem for that one product remains. The only thing different about this product is that I used attributes. However I want the same pictures to display regardless of attribute selection, so I have "Use attributes" unselected in Ajax Image Swap.

Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

Hi Jay,

Do I need to set up any additional file structure for the images? I notice on your demo site that your medium and large images go in /medium/Product_with_attributes, etc.

I believe I have the module successfully installed, I can go into the Image Swapper Manager, select an option name and option value, and upload an image to the small image form. The image then appears in the small, medium, and large boxes when I click its title, however they're all the same dimension and file size. Finally the image isn't visible on the site, nor do I get any type of status indicator that the slimbox should be loading.

Any ideas?

Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

This looks like a really great mod!

So when I install, I'm guessing I leave the "fual_slimbox.v0.1.5_for_AIS" folder in the root?

Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

ERROR: Cannot drop table products_attributes_images because it does not exist.

I think I figured out the answer to my previous question (maybe not, lol) but now I get the above when I run the sql.

Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

OK, everything looks good, except I get a swirl in my image box on the product info page...any idea what is causing that?

I did a "view source" in firefox on both my product page and the authors product page and found I had an extra line of js running
includes/modules/pages/product_info/jscript_textarea_counter.js

But that is something that came w/ zc, not anything additional.

Also, after installing this mod, should my product info page be setup just like the authors? All of my attributes are below the image, his are to the right of the image. Any thoughts?

I believe his is just floating to the right because he's unpublished all the right-side boxes...

Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread

Upload the image to the Small size. That's the default field that's resized if none of the others have an image added.
