Online Group Pricing

Works fine when not logged in or nothing is in cart. Not Sure here?

I'm afraid that makes two of us. How can you see your shopping cart page if nothing is in the cart?

If that's the only page you're missing your footer, and the files in the .zip are the only change you've made, it stands to reason the issue is with the shopping_cart.php file. Try extracting and uploading it again. I'm not kidding when I tell you that it works absolutely fine on my end. Just tried it again, in fact, with the same files you have - logged in, not logged in, and merging a visitor cart with a stored member cart. I have all my parts. :)

I really am at a total loss.

if you type www.your_domain.com /index.php?main_page=shopping_cart

the shopping cart page displays and says Your Shopping Cart is empty.

If i add a product to shopping cart without being logged in all is there including footer.

Once I log-in the only the shopping cart page loses the footer.

That really is strange, especially 'cause it's fine here. I can't think of any other OGP files I've changed that I would have and you don't - at least that would affect how the cart class/page functions.

Do you have debugging turned on? If so, go to your cache folder and see what the logs say. Or, open the error log from your server if you aren't using Zen's feature. Either way, they should tell you where the page is breaking.

I am having challenges getting OGP to work. I am still seeing group discount applied to sale price.

This is a sanity check:

1. Question: Confirm module is supposed prevent giving group discount off of special or salemaker price to group members? No config necessary to turn that on?

2. I saw no way to disable group pricing as I was installing the mod.

3. I tried adding new group, adding new customer and then adding them to group.

I am ready to start debugging code but I believe this mod is just what I need and works out of the box.

I need to modify it after it works to provide a rarely needed feature: never give any lower price to a group - what they agreed to is what they get. But not until the base function works.

Help is appreciated.

The reason you're seeing group discounts being applied to sales and specials is because you haven't turned off Zen's built-in group pricing. The instructions on how to do that are in the readme. Simply go to Admin -> Modules -> Order Total and disable Group Pricing (ot_group_pricing).

So, to give you back some sanity (LOL):

1. Confirmed. The mod will calculate the lower price between sales/specials and the group price, and offer the customer that discounted price - not both.

2. See above.

3. If you had an issue trying to add customers to discount groups, I would suspect that, too, is due to still having Zen's group pricing enabled. Disable that and you should be good to go all around.

I forgot that often, in zen, addons often add parallel behaviors, requiring turning off the core behavior.

I tried installing this and was unable to get it to work due to a conflict with another module. I backed up the files before I began

admin/group_pricing.php
admin/includes/functions/functions_prices.php
admin/includes/languages/english/group_pricing.php
includes/classes/shopping_cart.php
includes/functions/audience_id.php
includes/functions/functions_prices.php
includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/group_pricing.php

and after seeing the module didn't work for me, I replaced this with the back-ups I had created. I lost some of the functionality I had before - is there a step I missed to get back to where I was? I had a custom quantity discount module and the creator is not responding to my requests for help.

includes/functions/audience_id.php and includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/group_pricing.php aren't overrides. Try removing those two files altogether.

Just a note to say I've uploaded OGP again. I've also deleted any "interim" files since they're now outdated.

Here's what 0.26 will have in store for you:

-) Updated pricing function for efficiency & eliminated query - admin & includes; updated includes/languages definition file for same. Changed discount percentage to use base pricing function for calculation instead of normal price, in an effort to avoid possible PHP warnings for division by zero.

-) Added group pricing to quantity discounts.

-) Updated shopping cart class to accommodate group pricing on quantity discounts.

-) Added company name field to customer pages (file without also included).

-) Changed customer display to alphabetically by last name.

-) Added files to display price text for group members on all product pages, to display quantity discounts with group pricing on product info page, and to fix split-page navigation in admin.

I installed this on 1.3.8a installation and it shows the discount as it should for each item. HOWEVER, when I go to shopping cart, my subtotal is 0 and total is 0. It is not adding them up.

I do use attributes in my pricing. Any ideas? :huh:

OK, so I upgraded to 0.26, and now shipping is working, but it is still not totaling the order. So in my shopping cart it shows product total correctly, but then subtotal is $0, shipping is $7, and total is $7. And this is without being logged in as a discount group - just a regular user. HELP!

What happens when you are logged in as a group discount customer?

Any other mods installed that affect the OGP files? I'll see if I can try to replicate your issue in the meantime. That's certainly a strange one! Even for 1.3.8a. ;)

It happens whether I am logged in as a Group customer or a regular customer. I have removed your MOD and replaced by original files pending a solution. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks for the quick reply!
