That wasn't a reflection on the quality of the code. It was motivated by concern that it has been extended into areas that feel more the province of core code than a add-on to enhance the product info page.

So all that minification feels like it ought to be a mod in its own right rather than an addendum to the TPP. And the associated html_header changes have the potential to clash with other plugins, several of the free templates and most commercial ones.Nods in agreement.. I never understood how the addition of the minification functionality enhanced TPP either..

The introduction of this "feature" in v1.06 always felt to me like this was not as much of an enhancement of TPP as it was simply just adding in something that SHOULD HAVE been a separate add-on submission in it's own right..

It was at the point that this change was made (the introduction of the minification add-on to TPP) that the original author stopped supporting this module.. TPP has been community supported ever since.

I personally still use version 1.05 because it still works, and if I WANT/NEED js/css minification I can install the CJ Loader SEPARATELY.

Those are the reasons why I, personally, would hesitate to use it. But equally there will be circumstances and people for whom it's a good approach.While I too found the "Global Add To Cart Tab" option :lookaroun ummmm silly, it is not turned on by default. Rather it is one of the tab options this mod offers.. As you can see on the following page, the add to cart button is not inside a tab..

Nah, I left it - since he wanted the tell a friend button left on, I just put the two buttons side by side down there. Not as distracting as the additional images. Just info to keep in my head as to what to do if and when I run into this again. Geez, zen cart respository in my head!

Now I do have a question. Is there a way to get the New Products, Specials, Sales, Upcoming Products and Featured Products on the front page to be in tabs?

Geez, zen cart respository in my head!Just took a looksee at how I got rid of the extra "Write Reviews" button, and I realized that the way I did it works until you disable the "Reviews" tab.. Then the behavior of the product page changes, and the button needs to be in place.. I added a flag so that the button is only hidden when the "Reviews" tab is active. I am at work and don't have the change I made with me, but I'll post it up for the community later today in case anyone else wants to make the same change..

Had another thought.. This is just my own personal observation.. It seems like the issues posted in this support thread since the CJ Loader was bundled in with TPP seem to be related to issues with the CJ Loader install/configuration..

I (and others posting here) have, on more than a few occasions, suggested to those having issues that they use v1.05 instead. A majority of the time installing v1.05 resolves these install/config issues. I personally still use v1.05 (updated for Zen Cart v1.3.9 of course)

So I've been giving some thought to updating the v1.05 fileset with updates needed for Zen Cart v1.3.9 and submitting it separately as an alternate TPP version..

OR

perhaps including BOTH flavors of TPP in the fileset. Dunno..:huh: Giving this some thought..

Thanks!This module only changes the look and feel of the product pages.. I believe I've seen another module that does what you are looking for.. You can search the downloads page and see if you can locate it (the name of the module --if it does indeed exist-- escapes me..)

Thank you! I will keep searching until I find it. If not no big deal. I really like this for the product pages.

I am having some problems. It works awesome on my test site, but it screws up my whole site on my live one. I installed it just like I did on my test site and it wasn't working correctly. I went through all the files and tried to unistall it. When I tried to reinstall it, my site became blank. So I unistalled all the files again.

I don't know what's going on. It also doesn't look completely unistalled because in my admin I still see the TPP Config and the CSS/JS Loader.

Is there a way to unistall those too and do a complete fresh install?

Okay I tried to read every page in here for my next questions but I got 36 pages in and I am getting a headache lol.

First question: I have Cross Sell Mod installed and I have the global tabs turned on in the admin but the Cross Sell isn't in a tab where it's supposed to be. It is still at the bottom. You can see it here. http://frompropertorocker.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7_19&products_id=45

Next question is: If you take a look using Chrome you will notice some of the products appears twice on the product page. You can see that here. http://frompropertorocker.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=33_226&products_id=1053 How do I fix that?

And my final question (hopefully)

I did figure out the answer to the very last question. It's on page 121. I am still looking to find the answers to the rest of them. :)

I cannot reproduce any of the issues you've reported.. which leads me to believe that somewhere in your store you've made other modifications to the product description (details) page or made other modifications to the default TPP files which are causing the issues.. I suggest carefully re-tracing your installation and comparing your store files to the one's in the TPP fileset..

OR

uninstall v1.07 altogether and install TPP v1.05.. Unless you NEED the CJ Loader add-on which is included in the v.107 files (the addition of the CJ Loader add-on was introduced in TPP v1.06) v1.05 works just fine.. You will need to incorporate any Zen Cart v1.3.9 changes to the product detail page of course.. If you want CJ Loader after that, you can get it from the Rubiks Integration site and install it AFTER you get TPP working all by it's lonesome..

Thanks! That is really strange. I will take a look. If I unistall it completely I will still have the CJ Loader, and the TPP Config showing in my admin area how do I get that so it's completely unistalled?

If I remember, the CJ Loader has an uninstall script to remove the DB entries, you can try this to uninstall TPP DB entries:

SET @tpp4=0;
SELECT (@tpp4:=configuration_group_id) as tpp4 
FROM configuration_group
WHERE configuration_group_title= 'TPP - Config';
DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_group_id = @tpp4;
DELETE FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_id = @tpp4;

After that you will need to remove the TPP and CJ Loader files manually..

The EASIEST way though is if you backed up your store and DB before you installed TPP (as you should do before installing ANY modules) is to roll back to your store backup.
