Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

neighbornick:

I think I will just upload the backup of my store and then re-install ssu.
My bad, the link should be:
http://wiki.rubikintegration.com/zencart/modules/ssu/installation

The previous link is for attribute filter module

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Problem: Under extras/Simple SEO URL Manager I only have boxes for Instruction and Basic Function.

Installed version 2.9.6 (I have php4)

Everything seems to be working just fine, but I don't have any options under the Simple SEO... except Instructions and Basic Function. The Basic Function cache clearing all works fine. I am looking for the other functionality.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Another question:

Since I cannot use the link alias, which file would I edit to always insert certain text, and only use the model number?

Example:

I always want to have .../oregon_scientific/XXXX, where XXXX is the model number.

So, instead of .../wireless-weather-stations-c-42/professional-weather-station-WMR200

I would like: .../oregon_scientific/WMR200A

Again, I am using php4 and version 2.9.6 (I wish I had php5!)

Thank you!!!!

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

If you are on zen 1.3.8 right now, you can ask your host to help you get php5 without problem. Most hosts already have php5 version in place, you just have to ask them how to use it.

To append the model the way you want it will be a bit complicated, any special reason for that?

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Hi Yellow, I've been using SSU for a few weeks now and I have been really pleased.
I just noticed that when I change the currency on my product pages to see what the price is in Euros or US dollars instead of Brithish Pounds, I get sent to a page not found error page.
The url has now got a an extra /currency/USD/ or /currency/AU$/ in the address bar.

Is this an easy fix?
Many thanks

Ned

Er it's a recent one from your download site, but where can I find the version that I have? Does it show in Zen Cart somewhere?

Steven:cool:
If it's a recent one and if you followed the upgrade instruction you cant have /currency, that's why I ask

Check admin/includeds/module_installation/yellow1912_ssu/current_version.txt

You should be at 3.6.6

And check if you did follow this:
http://wiki.rubikintegration.com/zencart/modules/ssu/upgrade
And this: http://wiki.rubikintegration.com/zencart/modules/ssu/config

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Hi Yellow, I have checked and I have the following in current_version.txt
15|Beta 3.6.6

I had already done the steps in those 2 links when I upgraded, I just rechecked and the files are all removed that should be.
Hmm!

Then you cant have the "currency" in that form :). Make sure your "exclude" list is the same with the link above.

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Since I upgraded to the latest version, Google's webmaster tools is telling me that there are redirect errors on the site

They relate to a "add to wishlist" link which takes you to the login page.

Here are some of the links with redirect errors:

http://www.iamhappie.com/un_wishlist/accessories/ani-big-bow-belt-p-209?action=un_add_wishlist

http://www.iamhappie.com/un_wishlist/accessories/anis-bow-belt-p-210?action=un_add_wishlist

http://www.iamhappie.com/un_wishlist/accessories/anis-bow-belt-p-211?action=un_add_wishlist

http://www.iamhappie.com/un_wishlist/accessories/hana-brooch-p-219?action=un_add_wishlist

Any ideas what this could be?

Erm, because it will take google to the login page of course, so google wouldnt like it :D
You shouldnt have google follows these links anyway, use rel="nofollow" here

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Hi, I keep getting:

Warning Checking includes/configure.php
Warning Suggested .htaccess content
Success #### BOF SSU
Options +FollowSymLinks -MultiViews
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /store/

Deny access from .htaccess

RewriteRule ^.htaccess$ - [F]

RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php?/$1 [E=VAR1:$1,QSA]

EOF SSU

Warning Checking cache write permission

Am I supposed to edit the:

website/store/.htaccess

or

website/.htaccess

I tried both anyway, but still nothing changed :(
