Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Hi, I keep getting:

Am I supposed to edit the:

website/store/.htaccess

or

website/.htaccess

I tried both anyway, but still nothing changed :(
The store one. and what do you get? I cant see anything.

NVM, the message is just telling it's checking, if all is fine then it's okie. Sorry for the confusion.

BTW, SSEO was setup yesterday, goggle webmaster sitemap today generated a HTTP: 301 warning error :(

URLs not followed
When we tested a sample of URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs redirect to other locations. We recommend that your Sitemap contain URLs that point to the final destination (the redirect target) instead of redirecting to another URL.

I am using Google XML Sitemap, from what i see, the links were generated properly to the product names...

After further analysis, I found that the links listed all pointed to:

Well, pick a link that generates error, then post it here and we can examine why it causes an error (or you can pm me)

And the thing is I dont see any of them on my sitemap :(

But, in any case, it could be that it still has your old sitemap with old links. If you can provide us with 1 example of the link google reported error then we can see what goes wrong.

@XxDrAg0nxX: you can see the links you posted are old links. While the new links should not look like that at all. So I suspect google is still looking at the old sitemap

Ok maybe will wait another day see how it updates.

Cos before i requested them to redownload the sitemap, there wasnt any warnings... :(

I resubmitted again just to be sure... :D

Forgive me if this is explained already (had little success searching a 293-page thread), but has anyone ported SSU to CRE Loaded? On the SSU website it says to contact the author(s) about how to convert it over - I've done that but figured I'd also try here - thanks!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. To be able to do so, we will need a Creload expert (im not one, btw), and I will be willing to offer support during the process.

but with hebrew (when url not translated to english) I have problems:

Hehe, the problem is that I cant even read Hebrew to know what it says on the link. Anyhow, I uploaded a new version for you, if that still doesnt fix it email me since you have my email already.

Pardon me if this has been asked and answered. I LOVE this mod - and so does my client - but we don't like what it's doing to our search results on the site.

The site is http://www.frantzartglass.com

With the mod turned on, if you search for say "dark ivory", you get no results.

With the mod turned off, you get decently relevant results.

What can I do to remedy this - besides turning the mod off?

It will take some time for search engines index all the new url's. Redirect of already indexed url's should work just fine until they get updated. Did not take too long for me. After some time you might see the positive results on the more competitive key words where the url helps a bit as well. I am happy I switched.
