Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

yellow1912:

Your sitemap should also contain new links. Did you re-create the sitemap after you enable seo?

In my case the links looks like similar (http://domainmane/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13_43) even before and after I enable/disable the SSU and create google sitemap.

When I click on product and category they seems to be fine as domain/category-c-id/product-p-id

I agree with him I get that also. http://wwwdomainname.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=35_142
When you click on the link it looks right http://www..com/home-and-outdoor/bookends
Maybe thats why I'm getting warnings from Google in my site map. Don't know

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

OK, as sad a_berezin developer of sitemap, if nothing doesn't help, please read manual ;)
please when you turn on/off SSU, in admin->Configuration->Sitemap XML set "the Use Existing Files" to False and after regenerate the sitemap.
or use "rebuild=yes" when you create the sitemap

It should work correctly if the sitemap uses zen zen_href_link function to generate links. And that is the way the old version of that module works, im not sure about the new one but i think it works the same:

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Hi,
Im a little confused, i followed the installation instructions, uploaded the .htaccess and though I did everything right.

When I go to ssu_check.php;

There is an exclamation mark next to:

Warning Checking includes/configure.php
Warning Suggested .htaccess content (which is what i have in the .htaccess file exactly)
Warning Checking cache write permission

When i navigate to admin->extra->simple seo url manager i get the following errors;

Warning: require_once(includes/classes/module_installer.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/home/oxygen/onlinecellshop.com/admin/ssu.php on line 11

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/classes/module_installer.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /usr/home/oxygen/onlinecellshop.com/admin/ssu.php on line 11

Thanks in advance!

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

previous problem fixed by installing module manager..

now i get this error on admin/ssu.php;

1146 Table 'zenocs.module_version_tracker' doesn't exist
in:
[SELECT * FROM module_version_tracker WHERE module_code='yellow1912_ssu' LIMIT 1]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Re: Simple SEO URL (OLD version) [support thread]

Yellow -

quick question:

If I want to re-arrange my current products (with their existing simple URL links) into subcategories - will this break the original links that are pointing to them?

I realized that I need to do a little categorizing to keep things neat -

thanks!

I have a same question

Try this go to your store admin/configurations/Simple SEO URL and Set Link Alias Status to true and Set Auto Alias Status to true. Go to extras/simple_seo_url_manager and Reset all cache: Maybe this will fix your problem

You should have "set auto alias" in configuration/simple seo url configuratios.
This is what you should have under admin/extras/simple_seo_url
Cache Functions Check and fix cache(Run this once if you upgrade from any version older than 3.6.5): Click here
Reset all cache: Click here
Reset alias cache: Click here
Reset only products cache: Click here
Reset only categories cache: Click here
Reset only pages cache: Click here
Alias Functions Manage Aliases: Click here
Do you have Module manager installed? If you do then your data base is not right. It did not insert the sql patch right. Maybe you can backup your database just before you installed simple seo and reinstall it again

What version of simple seo are you using? To get rid of all tables you will have to go to your phpMyAdmin database to get rid of everything that deals with Simple Seo Url. What you did was just get rid of it in your store configurations.
