Add to cart button shows blank page

I have an issue when the add to cart button is clicked. The action places it in the cart but it relocates the user to a blank page. I'd like to send them to the shopping cart whenever it is clicked instead of this blank page. I'm not sure if something got deleted or what....

If possible I would like someone to let me know where the code for the add to cart button is located and also if they the code that adds the product to the cart and relocates them to the shopping cart.
It would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: when using Tools like this and view directories with FTP ... be sure to do a Refresh on the Directory to see any new files generated ...

Do you think a fresh install will solve this issue.... I'm downloading the files directly from godaddy.com

You have to use the debug tool as suggested by Ajeh, then post any error you get from that here so we can help you.

Try reloading the header.php and see if there might be spaces or blank lines in it which would cause that error ...

Did you get it fixed this happened to me last night. If so what did you do to fix it?

I just had that same issue. Open the first mentioned file in an editor and check if there are empty lines after the last "?>"
I had 2 empty lines. Deleted them and now everything works like a charm again. :clap:

Hi, I am having eaxctly the same problem. I know when I uninstall and install zen again it works for a while then the issue starts all over again when I start configuring my site e.g. adding products etc. I have also bought the e-book and gone through it. Nobody seems to have an answer to this yet. Even though I am uninstalling zen I get the feelking that some of the old files may remain. What is the best way of cleaning the server out of the old files/folders. Which folders should I delete?

If you want to start over with a fresh install of zencart..

BACKUP YOUR DATABASE FIRST!!!!
unless this is a completely new install on a store you've done nothing with, you will want to do this step so you can restore your database.

AFTER you've backed up the database.. you are free to delete all the files off the server that relate to zencart, then download a new copy from the zencart downloads, and reinstall it all over again. Then depending on your host (check your FAQ) you would import your saved database to restore your store.

But BEFORE you go through such drastic measures, you should do what everyone else is suggesting and check your files for blank lines.. that's what was happening to me. I had exactly the same problem, I followed the various advice here and was about to give up. But finally found a couple of extra lines at the end of includes/languages/english.php if that is any help, once removed the site worked again!

I'm getting the dreaded blank page and have done everything I can find in the forums to resolve it and still not sorted it. My debug files show that there is a problem in my english.php on line 1, but I can't work it out, it looks OK to me and in fact I've not changed this file!

Any help? Was working fine earlier today and now it's not!
