OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Hi,

I thought I was out of the water! I was able to transfer all of my products over with no problems at all. I've just tried to transfer my customers over and it didn't work so well. The script definitely ran and I can see my list of customers, but if you click on any of them there is nothing there....no name, address or anything else. Also, on the admin customers page, these error messages appear:

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home/content/b/l/o/blowinin/html/admin/customers.php on line 1099

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/content/b/l/o/blowinin/html/admin/customers.php on line 1101

Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/content/b/l/o/blowinin/html/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 29

Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/content/b/l/o/blowinin/html/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 30

I'm afraid to try the orders without having the customers set up. Any idea how I fix this or what went wrong?

This line of code combines country field and reviews field. If you look at these two fields with phpMyAdmin is the data correct?
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/content/b/l/o/blowinin/html/admin/customers.php on line 1101
This line of code combines customer fields and customer info fields
Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/content/b/l/o/blowinin/html/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 29

Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/content/b/l/o/blowinin/html/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 30
These errors are generated because of the first two.
I'm afraid to try the orders without having the customers set up. Any idea how I fix this or what went wrong?
The scripts run independent of each other ZC combines the data.

Check the data that was transfered and see if there is any missed placed values. (alpha where number belongs etc.)

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Am I looking at this in the old database or the new one?

Look at the new one and you also could compare the data between the new and old.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Ok, when I go into the phpadmin, I can see the customers names in the new database, but I cannot get to their addresses, when I try to see the distinct values in the address book file, it will not show them to me. Same thing with the countries.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

import_osc_customers only works with these tables

  1. customers
  2. address_book
  3. customers_info

but I cannot get to their addresses, when I try to see the distinct values in the address book file, it will not show them to me. Same thing with the countries
So the new zc address_book table has no records in it? But the source osc has records?

As for the countries we don't touch.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

When I click on the button that says "browse distinct values", it does not show any information, it just refreshes the screen and does not show any addresses in the new database.

In the old database, I can see all of the addresses....

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Re-run import_osc_customers and note the address_book export count and the import count are they the same?

Then re-check the address_book table again.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

It's not even getting to the import part. When it starts to import into Zen, it says:"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '2f479816afd79005d022c4e7ea356aca:8c', customers_newsletter = '', customers_' at line 10"

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Based on what I see in the error one or two things.

  1. re-load import_osc_customer.php file it could be just a bad file transfer/copy.

  2. the osc customer table is not as shown below:
    customers_id
    customers_gender
    customers_firstname
    customers_lastname
    customers_dob
    customers_email_address
    customers_default_address_id
    customers_telephone
    customers_fax
    customers_password
    customers_newsletter

If that fails pm me the osc sql file if it not to large.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Hey guys, I just used this script and everything went through just fine, the only problem I have is in Australia we have 10% GST (Tax) and the prices seem to have imported using the before tax price rather then after tax price, can anyone shed any light on how I can overcome this as its illegal to advertise before tax prices, all prices advertised must include tax.

Cheers

Azz

ZC calculates the GST tax and then adds it to the displayed price.

You must configure the ZC store to calculate the GST tax.

Once you have setup the GST tax rate in your store go to admin->mystore->display price with tax set this to true and it will add the tax to the true price of the product.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Yes, I have set that, whats happening is all imported products are not getting the tax class added to them, they are importing with no tax class, im not sure how to fix that side of things.

It may be a zen cart setting or perhaps a change in the import code.

Hope you can help.

version 1.6 dose not transfer the tables of tax_class or tax_tax_rates. I have created a script that will just transfer the tax tables. If this fixes your tax I will add it to the next version.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Seems to have worked like a treat, your a champ, thanks very much, I thought I was going to have to find an alternate importer, as there was no way I was manually changing 2500 items tax fields 1 by 1 haha.

Thanks again

Cheers

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

Hi, all, I've read through this but maybe I've missed it somewhere...I have no titles on a product listing page. They seem to work everywhere else, but when you click to view a category, there's no page title, just the URL. I did see something about categories meta data, but I don't think that's my problem...or is it? Anyway, any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

How about a link so we can see what is happening.

category, there's no page title

The title is normally the category name.

Re: OsCommerce Data Importer - Errors

You should post this question under the General Questions section. You will get more help there.

But from what I see you have "Actions" category setup differently then "Alphabets and Numbers" in your admin.
