Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

I had stopped using ZC but have just done a new install (1.3.8a) including the module (2.0.0).

I'll run some test transactions and see what is up.

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

OK. I got the same thing as you did.

The module was written to interact with the Moneybookers Merchant Payment Interface Version 6.3 of 15 January 2008.

Going to their site, I notice that the Merchant Payment Interface has been changed and that the current one is Version 6.5 of 3 March 2008.

I have downloaded the specs and will be looking at them to figure out where the differences may be.

You will have to disable the module until an update is available.

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

Fixed.

I'll be submitting V2.1.0 for download shortly.

There are a couple of minor housekeeping stuff I wanted to do from before so I will take the opportunity to do them now.

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

Version 2.1.0 is available for download.

Please remember to post feedback ... Positive or Negative.

At this point, there have been 715 downloads with a few having issues. Without feedback, it is impossible to know whether all the others had problems and just simply walked away or whether the module was/is working for some.

Feedback helps focus issues for those having problems.

Thanks

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

Hello

I unzipped the files of this latest version and uploaded on the site in Admin folder. Admin to Admin.

But when I check in Zen cart control panel in payment modules, the previous model is not updated. Inspite of the fact that I'm uploading latest version 2.1.0 but it keeps on showing previous version 2.0.0

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

Dayo:

I have posted my revision of the Moneybookers module to the downloads section.

AFAIK, there are at least three other versions although it seems the original version has been removed from the downloads.

This version is a major reworking of the moneybookers module and is based on the Moneybookers Merchant Payment Interface (Version 6.3) of 15
January 2008. It essentially leverages the "IPN" features offered by Moneybookers which the previous versions have done gotten into.

It started as a port of an OsC version (later abandoned by the developer) but that needed fiddling with several files and I decided to have a design goal of offering the features without editing any core files.

Main Features:

  • Designed for ZC 1.3.8
  • Auto update orders
  • Auto update orders history
  • Auto email updates to customers if enabled
  • Auto email updates to admin if enabled
  • Auto MD5 signature check before updates if enabled
  • Auto enable downloadable items once payment is cleared
  • Auto activate download max days for downloadable items
  • Auto inform customers of different currency to be used on moneybookers if necessary
  • Auto display monneybookers website in selected language
  • Choice of banners to display to customers at checkout

NOTES

  1. Unpack the zip file into your site to install. Make sure the "admin" folder
matches if you have changed the name of your site admin folder.
  2. Edit the definitions in 'includes/modules/payment/moneybookers_gateway/moneybookers_gateway_emails.php' if you want your emails to be in a non english language.
  3. Get it here

I uninstalled the previous version 2.0.0 and uploaded new one 2.0.1. But new one never shows up in the admin under "payment modules". I copied admin folder to the admin of my site in site ftp. Please advice how will I update my previous version.

You simply need to unpack the zip into your zen cart directory with your ftp program.

Essentially do what you did to upload the previous version.

  1. download file

  2. unzip file

  3. go to your zen cart folder in ftp program

  4. follow ftp program's procedures to upload files

  5. navigate to unzipped folder

  6. select folders called 'admin', 'images' and 'includes'

  7. upload

if you have renamed zencart admin folder as advised for security, change name of admin in unzipped files accordingly before uploading.

That's it. Same thing you must have done for v2.0.0 in the first place.

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

Thanks!!

I did it successfully. I uploaded 3 folders admin, images and includes to my website admin folder.

What mistake I was doing is that I was uploading only admin folder to admin of my website, ignoring the other 2.

Thanks anyways. I hope I will be able to charge the credit card on my website.

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

Version 3.0.0 submitted for download

  • Versions preceeding 3.0.0 must be removed before uploading upgrading
  • This version simplifies the management of the moneybookers statuses and does not modify the the orders status table as previous versions did with potentially confusing instructions.
  • This version add additional security by making the transaction id sent to moneybookers less accessible.

It will however probably not pass the new strict totalitarian / nanny knows best / innovation killing regime put in place for contributions by the site admins. :censored:

Hello

When this will available for download? I cannot see this on zen cart website

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_48&products_id=940

Can you send me the download link? If we upgrade versions on websites with running sales, will that affect any current transaction or sales. Please advise.

The site admins will either make it available in their own sweet time or more likely decide it contravenes one of their absurd diktats on what and how code should written.

I am afraid that the very same diktats decree that I not allowed to discuss the module or send out links here until it has survived the inquisition.

However, upgrading should be painless if it does make it through the trial by ordeal ... as long as you don't just only copy part of the set of files

Ok. Email me the download version module 3.0.0 at [email protected]

Sales have not yet started on my site. I was just wondering if I frequently update the versions and it will affect any ongoing sales.

You might want to consider deleting your email address from the post to avoid getting overwhelmed by spam.

I'll also suggest that you stick with the version 2.1.0 and if 3.0.0 passes muster, you can then decide whether you want to use it since the current version works just fine anyway.

How can I delete email from already posted thread? Ok I'll wait till it's available to download from the site.

Hello

why does it requires login? I mean after the customer selects "payment method" is that possible to direct to a page where his/her card can be charged without requiring to login to moneybookers account or creating a new account at money bookers.

If someone is not willing to create an account then?

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

The module that you provided is to pay by email or pay by credit card?

I want if payment page can directly take customers to place where their credit card will be charged by moneybookers.

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

The module is not specific to Pay by email or by credit card. It is simply a way to connect your site to their site.

The payment methods available is dependent on whether you have activated facilities to receive payment by credit card with moneybookers or not. If you have, the user will be able to pay by that method. If you haven't, they will not have that option.

It is all now to whether you have carried out the required steps with moneybookers or not. Nothing to do with the module.

I suggest you familiarise yourself with how moneybookers operates before trying to run a store depending on it for payment to save yourself heartache later.

Thank you for the help. Yes I've gained merchant status.

Re: Moneybookers Payment Gateway

Hello

This module requires customers to first register and then pay. But moneybookers also have additional benefits to its merchants for "Quick checkout" that does not require customers to register to pay. They can pay with several options, and in the end it's their choice if they want to register with them.

I wish if you've done something with Quick checkout integration.
