Dear All
I am afraid I am no longer able to provide support for, or updates to, the moneybookers module.
This is due to a fundamental disagreement with the policies on user contributions being implemented by the administrators of the Zen Cart Project.
I do not categorise myself as a coder but just a standard user who has tried to give back to the community and set out to read and learn enough to do so.
It is needless to say, I have found the experience very very satisfying.
However, it is rightly or wrongly my conclusion that the administrators, for what must be very sound reasons, are more concerned with stability for those that have built business models around providing zencart services than with the dynamism and enthusiasm of small time contributors.
I have found this very discouraging and since they have succeeded in completely crushing my naive enthusiasm, I have therefore decided to return to simply using the excellent product they offer like any other user and to limit modifications I am working on now or make in future to personal use only or at most, sharing them outside the framework of this site.
I will continue to improve and maintain the Gallery2 to Zencart Bridge since this is administered on the Gallery2 website where different policies are in place and continue to interact on this forum as any other user.
I hope that the admins and senior members will offer help if and when I need it as they do for users in general and that my disagreement on their approach to contributions and my forceful expression of my honest thoughts on this will not be held as a black mark against me.
To those using or planning to use the module, please note that as the admins have decided it is in the interest of the greater good to hold back the updated version of the module (V3.0.0) submitted on the 12th of September 2008 and that the user community is better off without the improvements or simplifications to using the module I spent my precious time incorporating, V2.1.0 of the module should work fine with V1.3.8a of Zencart if you closely follow the instructions which can admittedly be a touch confusing and thus simplified in the stillborn V3.0.0.
Perhaps someone else not so touchy about the spirit of the open source movement can take the module up and move it forward.
Best wishes.
