Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

background-image: url(../images/header_bg.jpg);

Change to:

background-image: url(../store/includes/templates/classic/images/logo.gif.jpg);

Make sure logo.gif is upload by ftp to the above URL

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

snarfy,

yep i've added my logo but still nothing
Jumping in here...
Navigating to this address looking for logo.gif I get a 404 not found
http://www.scrapbookingmad.com/store/includes/templates/classic/images/logo.gif

Which says that you do not have a logo.gif at that location

Please quadruple check that you have a logo.gif image there

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

Please do this:

to the end of your store address in your browser bar add

/includes/templates/classic/images/logo.gif

You will see that no image is displayed and as I stated previously this means that you do NOT have an image "logo.gif" at that location

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

You need to have one on your local and FTP it to that folder

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

This is what I’ve done so far

I’ve uploaded my logo.gif to

store/Includes/templates/Classic/images/logo.gif

I have also done this to the stylesheet.css which is located

store/Includes/templates/Classic/css/stylesheet.css

#logoWrapper{
background-image: url(http://www.scrapbookingmad.com/store/includes/templates/classic/images/logo.gif%29;
background-repeat: repeat-x;
background-color: #ffffff;
height:75px;
}

I have also done this to the header.php

store/Includes/languages/Classic/header.php

// added defines for header alt and text
define('HEADER_ALT_TEXT', '');
define('HEADER_SALES_TEXT', '');
define('HEADER_LOGO_WIDTH', '980px');
define('HEADER_LOGO_HEIGHT', '160px');
define('HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE', 'logo.gif');

what am i doing wrong?

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

OK now I get a forbidden error

What are the permissions on the classic/images folder?
What are the permissions on the logo.gif file?

Start setting both to 777 and work from there

Where the caps intentional?

Includes
Classic

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

Now I am gonna ask you to change this entry as you have 2 images displayed on top of each other one as a background and one as a #logo

#logoWrapper{
background-color: #ffffff;
height: 160px;
}

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

Will have to look at other things that you changed now as your view source shows

<div id="logo"><a href="http://www.scrapbookingmad.com/store/"><img src="includes/templates/template_default/images/scrapbookingmadlogo" alt="" /></a></div>

And should look like this

<div id="logo"><a href="http://www.xxxx.com/store/"><img src="includes/templates/classic/images/logo.gif" alt="Powered by Zen Cart :: The Art of E-Commerce [home link]" title=" Powered by Zen Cart :: The Art of E-Commerce [home link] " width="192" height="64" /></a></div>

So think about what other files you have altered and if they are in a "classic" folder delete them or rename them with an extention as .old

Re: having trouble trying to add a logo

In templates/classic there is a template info php file I opened it and this was in there

<?php /** * Template Information File * * @package templateSystem * @copyright Copyright 2003-2005 Zen Cart Development Team * @copyright Portions Copyright 2003 osCommerce * @license <http://www.zen-cart.com/license/2_0.txt> GNU Public License V2.0 * @version $Id: template_info.php 2306 2005-11-05 21:34:28Z wilt $ */ $template_name = 'SAMMYS_TEMPLATES'; $template_version = 'Version 1.0'; $template_author = 'Samantha Murphy'; $template_description = ''; ?>

I look at the original Zen cart from when I installed it and the original file was like this

<?php /** * Template Information File * * @package templateSystem * @copyright Copyright 2003-2006 Zen Cart Development Team * @copyright Portions Copyright 2003 osCommerce * @license <http://www.zen-cart.com/license/2_0.txt> GNU Public License V2.0 * @version $Id: template_info.php 4226 2006-08-24 02:23:25Z drbyte $ */ $template_name = 'Classic Contemporary Green'; $template_version = 'Version 1.3.5'; $template_author = 'Zen Cart Team (c) 2006'; $template_description = 'This template set is designed to be easily modified using only the style sheet to change colors, fonts, and the store logo. Three images are required; logo.jpg, header_bg.jpg, and tile_back.gif.'; $template_screenshot = 'scr_template_default.jpg'; ?>

so I changed it back, does this help
