Re: All My Categories & Products Have Been Deleted... HELP!

I think you will have to try the repair as there are not many other options that I can think of ...

Either that is going to recover the data or it won't ... but you cannot be any worse off than you are now ...

If you do not have a backup of your database you can check with your hosting provider to see if they have a backup that they can load ...

Re: All My Categories & Products Have Been Deleted... HELP!

Repairing the tables deleted the data.

Godaddy keeps daily backups of all databases, it cost me $150 to get it restored.

Again they said it sounded like its a zencart connection problem, but when I searched this forum for DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED' it sounded like a server 'mySQL problem, however I have not seen this on the many 'CMS Made simple' sites I developed on to the same server!, so I do think it has something to do with zencart but I know its not suppose to happen.

To explain further if you have not read my other post;
We get this error for example;"
0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
in:
[select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
"
What ever database fields we are editing gets their records removed from the database.

If you are having database issues ... this can be a common error as there isn't anything, or not enough of what is needed, in the database so it throws that error ...

If you get the updated database from GoDaddy, be sure you backup yourself, before attempting anything so if this happens again you have your own backup and can test various issues ...
