ZJ Silver Support Thread

OK, Can I get into my problems now?

First, Thanks to ANT for the great themes. I started with the ZJ_Silver_wide because I liked the wide "New Products" field. I then converted over to ZJ_Black because I was able to fit my logo better with it and still retain the wide center boxes.

Here's my site: http://www.majortek.com

Speaking of logo's. I am still not able to center my logo. I deleted my tagline because I found that it would drop down into the MainWrapper on lower resolution screens. I tried altering the float code:

#logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {
float:center;

This centered my logo, but it also centered my categories VERTICALLY. I tried separating the line to this:

.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {

logo, float:center;

Nothing.

Here's another centering problem... Before I had my main page open with categories, I entered the following code to center my tagline in the body:

H1 {font-size;1.4em; color#33333;}
#indexDefaultHeading {text align: center;}

Once I switched over it slid to the left. WTF? I can modify the following CSS from left to center and it works, But it also centers all text on the page.

#mainWrapper {
background-color:#FFFFFF;
border:1px solid #000000;
text-align: center;
vertical-align:top;
width:90%;}

And yet another centering problem:

For some reason my Authorize.Net validation icon isn't centering in Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome, but it does fine in Missy (MSIE), but the rest of my icons are doing just fine. I entered the following code to the bottom of my CSS:

.AuthorizeContent {
float: center;
margin-left: 2em;
padding: 1em; }

Nada. It just looks so out of place!

For the person that solves these three problems, there is a $20 bill available via PayPal. Seriously.

Thanks again.

Much Thanks to WZJY47 for all his help. It proves that Free Trade works!

Centered Logo using padding - Check
Centered Header Message - Check
Centered Authorize Logo under FF - Still needs work.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Please help?!?! :cry: An excellent tempate! I love it! But the logo centering issue I'm having is mentioned quite a few times in the threads, but no one has seemed to actually answer the question...I found a thread as to where to find the code in the css file, but I'm certianly not a css coding man :yuck: does anyone have a simple code to enter that will just simply center the logo? :lamo: Greatness I am most certainly not, but I most certainly try...thank you anyone in advance for any help that they can bestow upon this mere mortal :wacko:

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

You know, I did center my logo but it came out horribly on lower resolution screens. But if you want to give it a shot, here's how Jason over at http://www.retirementplanningpersonaladvisors.com fixed the problem.

Replace in your template CSS file:
**
#logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {float: left;}**

WITH:

#logo {
padding-right: 200px;
padding-left: 175px;
}
.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg
{float: left;}

Play around with the padding and you can get it close.

Hope this helps

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Is it possible to make the box where the logo and tag line is a specific pixel width instead of 100%. I have the store setup at 800pixels, but I can't manage to make the area where the logo is 800pixels as well. I did change the background from a graphic to a solid color. Any help?

Thanks so much.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

I'm am a little confused with one situation with this template. I've uploaded it and all seems fine except for one thing.

I have my categories come up on the opening page, clicking on one that has no product works fine, clicking on a category that has a product within it, fails to show the FOOTER....

Not sure why, but the footer and the bottom nav bar goes away, and I can't figure it out. Same when clicking on the categories on the left side box, and everywhere else. But if I don't have a product it shows just fine. Because I'm in the development stages of my site, I only have one product which happens to be a gift certificate.

I've made other sample items and tried it within other categories, and the same error (well, no footer).

My site is https://www.memorydecals.com if you could take a look and let me know how to fix it that would be great. And it's only a problem with this template, which is the one I plan on using so I would like to get it fixed.

Thank You for your time....

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Hi there - this might seem like a simple query but I've downloaded and unzipped and uploaded most of the files for this template. I just don't know where to put zencart_jquery.php.

Can someone help me out here?

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Please explain how you are installing this theme. Are you placing the files one at a time? You should be able to simply drag the theme over using your FTP client at the root.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Hi Ant,

First off, great mod with great contributions. I spent a day or so implementing and tweaking just the product_info display (that's the whole reason I downloaded this mod) and I have now decided to implement more of this mod on the rest of this site.. AFTER I fix one little buggie...

I have a drop down menu on my site and for whatever reason the pop-up when clicking on my main image appears to be "under" the menu. Please see for yourself at http://www.litepockets.com/whitehalldeluxemailbox-p-831.html. Everything else is working great... Can you help with this?

Thanks,
James

I have the same problem and I think it has to do with the fact that the menu is CSS generated and the pic is JQuery. How to fix this I don't know, but if you do I would be very grateful to know how.

How do you get the picture to expand on mouse-over? That would be really helpful on my site. Also, how did you get the photo to slowly minimize upon closing? That looks slick!

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Majority,

Thanks for the compliment, but I didn't create either of the effects. Image Handler is responsible for the "hover zooms", and the fade away on the pop-up is all done in the ZJ Silver Mod. Make sure to copy all CSS classes referencing anything with "fancy in it" IE:

/*Silver fancy overlays*/
div#fancy_overlay{position:absolute;top:0;left:0;z-index:90;width:100%;background-color:#333;}
div#fancy_loading{position:absolute;height:40px;width:40px;cursor:pointer;display:none;overflow:hidden;background:transparent;z-index:100;}
div#fancy_loading div{position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:40px;height:480px;background:transparent url(../images/fancy_progress.png) no-repeat;}
div#fancy_close{position:absolute;top:-12px;right:-12px;height:30px;width:30px;background:transparent url(../images/fancy_closebox.png);cursor:pointer;z-index:100;display:none;}
div#fancy_content{position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;z-index:96;margin:0;padding:0;}
#fancy_frame{position:relative;width:100%;height:100%;display:none;}
img#fancy_img{position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;border:0;z-index:92;margin:0;padding:0;}

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Hi there - is there any way to get rid of the message at the bottom that reads 'Free ZenCart jQuery Theme By ZenCart-Jquery.com'? I can't find it in any of the template files.

Thanks

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

NobbyRyan: Try looking in /includes/languages/TEMPLATE-NAME/english.php
It should be in there, somewhere around line #17.

I have just gone live with a site using ZJ Black2. I did all my developing and testing in Firefox 3, and just checked it with IE, and "oh my giddy aunt."

The left column on the sideboxes block ("left" and "right" are right beside each other on the right of the screen.) begins where the right column ends, ie the user has to scroll down to even see them.

And the sidebox headers look bad in IE. On firefox, they look like a solid dark grey bar from the pull down arrow right across to the close button on the right hand side. But on IE6 there is white space in between the pull down arrow and the next part of the header with the text on it. So it looks kind of messy.

Is there a simple fix for these problems? I am sorry I am OK with php but my head spins with CSS and layout issues.

The site is http://www.kanebo-from-japan.com

Thanks

Hmmm - I've looked around at my language files and can't find what I'm wanting to get rid of. It's the part that says 'Free ZenCart jQuery Theme By ZenCart-Jquery.com'

It's weird but it doesn't even show up in my source code but it's there on the page!

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

I don't know how familiar you are with Zen Cart, so it may be that you already know this.
But from the admin panel, choose tools and then "Developers Tool Kit."

From here you can enter a line of text, and Zencart will search all the source files, for it. If it finds it will print out which file and in which line it found it. It is very very useful for this kind of problem.

If you have not searched using this tool before, then you should do so.

I am quite familiar with ZenCart. This isn't the first time I've used it and I have searched with the Developers Tool Kit for what seems like ages! Still nothing.

The site is still a work in progress, but if you look at http://www.emotees.co.uk you'll see at the bottom right it has the 'Free ZenCart jQuery Theme By ZenCart-Jquery.com' but if you 'view source' it's not there.

I've noticed it's not on your site justinhunt. All I can think is it's some sort of tracker script that's pulling the info in from the external site.

Re: ZJ Silver Support Thread

Yeah thats pretty sneaky.
It is in a div with id "freethemelink, " . By right clicking on the link firefox and selecting "view selection source, " I can see that.
But when you view source, the javascript doesn't get executed, so it doesn't show.

I would just hide it in the CSS. If you look at the stylesheet there is this:
#freethemelink{float:right;font-weight:700;padding:10px;}
If you can just hide the div, I guess the problem would be solved.
