Re: New SSL -- Getting Secure and Nonsecure items error in IE

I had this problem too.

I finally figured it out - so for the benefit of others...

In my stylesheet I had hardcoded a background image to http://domainname/

So i just changed that to ../images and it worked fine.

Re: New SSL -- Getting Secure and Nonsecure items error in IE

I too would like to have the non secure error message removed. It does not come up in firefox and never noticed it until viewing the site in IE7. I have gone through and removed all the http:// code through out all the pages. I even looked through the css. However it doesn't seem to have made a difference. If someone could please look through it and let me know what is causing this. Thanks

Re: New SSL -- Getting Secure and Nonsecure items error in IE

First, you are missing from your stylesheet these classes:

.hiddenField {
display: none;
}
.visibleField {
display: inline;
}

Next, see if changing the references to:

http://www.macromedia.com

to be:

https://www.macromedia.com

Helps on this ...

Re: New SSL -- Getting Secure and Nonsecure items error in IE

khopek:

I'm getting this error in Internet Explorer. Perhaps someone can take a look and tell me what's going on?

Hi,

I am having this similar problem with my site https://www.streamaster.com.au/index.php?main_page=login only in IE. It comes clean in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. In IE, although it sends a security prompt whether to load unsecured items or not, in both the cases it loads everything. I have checked my page and all items are loaded through SSL.

How do I get rid of this security prompt in IE? Can anyone please take a look and suggest a solution.

Thanks,
Suman

Re: New SSL -- Getting Secure and Nonsecure items error in IE

So I am having a similar problem with my new site. I have a shared ssl certificate from InMotion hosting. They can not tell me if I purchased a dedicated certificate whether it would clear up this problem.

http://www.stressexpressbook.com/shop

I have set the ssl to cover cataloug, admin, and reg and check in. It is all working correctly for Firefox, Safari, Opera, but our favorite Internet Explorer is causing problems. It is one thing to have ie say there are non secure items etc. But when my testers and I go to check out and process the CC it goes to "Your order is being processed by Authorize.net, please wait.." and that is where is hangs. Authorize.net is not getting a ping.

In reviewing the login page source these are the potential http issues. All of the internal links are hard coded by Zen Cart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
