Any ideas?

That's odd, an upgrade should not alter any of these files as non are native to zen. In any event, which version did you install after upgrade?
Did you try to install the same version you were running previously? If not, make sure you use the 1.3.1 version (if not using your previous version.)

Since the contribution pulls and matched based on country (for shipping purposes) changing those will likely cause an incorrect match and thus skip any orders whose country did not match what the order had (when placed.)
The way around this is to remove the country portion of code totally (see link posted by dhcernese below).
I am thinking of removing countries all together because I am seeing those altered on various sites and see it causing problems. I know a lot of users need it however for shipping etc... so I hate to get rid of it.

Hi,
I had downloaded 1.3.0, but just now I downloaded and installed 1.3.1. Same problem, two orders show on the screen but the exported file is blank except for headers.
Maybe something changed with the way the fields need to be filled out?
Here are the fields I checked (all others left blank):
Export First and Last Name into Separate Fields.
Include Header Row In Export
Any order status
One product per row
Shipping Method
Shipping Total
Phone Number
Order Total
Order Date
Order Tax Amount
Order Subtotal
Order Discount
Payment Method
Order Status
Full Product Details
Could you try it with exactly these fields filled out and see if it works for you?
Thanks, Susie

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Well, I tried it with different combinations of those fields filled out, and nothing works. I even clicked Include Orders Already Downloaded and gave it a big date range, but I still got no records.
Then I reinstalled the last version that worked for me which was 1.2.4. It worked fine.
So there's something about these latest versions that made it stop working for me.
I could just keep using 1.2.4 but I'm sure someday it won't work anymore as ZenCart progresses.
I'm using Firefox 3.6.6 on Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3.
I have Zen 1.3.9.

My experience is the same as yours, only I stuck with 1.2.2 until I fixed the most recent one and posted it (by taking out code that doesn't work for me).

Thanks for the info Susie.
The big thing that changed between 1.2.4 and 1.3 versions was the addition of the country codes etc...
I am very much considering removing them in the code as dhcernese has done in their code to get it working for them.
I may do this until there is a viable way to get the countries integrated (right now there appears to be too many differences in users setups to make it work universally.)
To answer your previous questions, I tested all your settings and it works for me. But again, that is a setup which is likely different from yours in other respects.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Hi there,
I have installed this mod and it is fantastic! I'm just wondering if there is a way to split up the shipping method field into two fields, Shipping Method and Shipping Company. For example, if a customer uses UPS Ground, I want the Shipping Method to say Ground and the Shipping Company to say UPS. We are using it to send orders via FTP to a fulfillment warehouse, and they require it in that format.
Thanks!

Currently there is no way to do this. I could customize it for you if you wanted to include that ability. I wouldn't release it as a new upgrade as it is very specific to your needs.
If interested, send me a PM and we can find out how to get it done.
Thanks!

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
I’m running v1.3.1 on ZenCart V1.3.9d.
When I export, I get the csv file with the header row, but none of the orders are present.
I have it set to Any Order Status.
I have tried selecting and unselecting the various settings but the results are always the same.
For example:
Include orders already downloaded in export.
Run In Test Mode
Any ideas?
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Is there specific status settings necessary before a order will show?
Does it matter what the "Payment Status", "Payer Status", Address Status" is?
What about if the product is virtual?
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Things have gone from bad to worse.
Now when I enter "Export Shipping" No orders show on the screen. Yet if I go to Customers --> Orders, they are all listed.
So ignoring this, I tried setting "Include orders already downloaded in export." But again the csv file only contained a header row.
I tried this with IE8, Chrome, and Firefox 3.6, the results were the same.
My checkout pages uses the standard pull-down menus for state and country. I have not altered this that I can recall.
I have it set to one row per order

The reason the products don't show on the screen anymore is likely because when you ran the first export you did not run it in test mode. If you did not do that then your orders were marked as "exported" and thus will not show on the screen anymore (but could still be exported.)
If you are selling virutal products and do not require a shipping address on all orders then that could very well be the issue. This module uses the shipping information to generate some of the export data (used for importing into shipping label programs etc...)
I suspect that is why you are seeing no rows.
I have a set of questions (look further down the thread) that I am asking users to answer for me so I can try to get to the bottom of what some are seeing. I have yet to be able to duplicate the issues on any version of zen (including 1.3.9 up).
If you could answer the questions listed further down in the thread that would help me see if any patterns are developing which may be the cause of this type of non activity.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
I just ran another test order through. It was for a test product with a price of $0.01 and free shipping. The order went through fine and shows up in the "Export Shipping" screen. However, the csv file again only contains the header row.
1) What internet browser and version are you using to export the info? Tried IE8, Chrome, and FF3.6.8
2) Is your state field on the account creation for a "drop down" selection or a standard "text input field"?
Drop down menu for State and Country
3) Are you trying to export one product per row or one order per row?
One order per row
4) Does your site sell any products that do NOT require the customer to enter a shipping address?
No
Zen Cart: V1.3.9d
Export Shipping: V1.3.1
Thanks,

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Thanks for creating this add-on. It's so crucial that I can't imagine using the online store without it. However, I'm having some trouble.
When I export data to a CSV file, two things go wrong.
First, it does not list the header row when I check "include header row."
Second, and much more troubling, the CSV file does not include all the orders. I've compared a couple of orders that did make it and a couple that did not, and I can't see any difference to explain it. Same order status, same product.
Browser: Safari 5.0.1
State field on account creation: Text input.
Export type: One product per row.
Does your site sell any products that do NOT require the customer to enter a shipping address? Yes, some PDF downloads. But the missing orders are for physical products that require shipping.
Thanks again.

I'm going to release a 1.3.2 version here very soon that will address a few things and also will "revert back" to a few older ideas that should remedy the missing orders. These look to be caused by some new SQL statements that were introduced which are making things a bit too restrictive. The goal is to rework them, but until then, it may be best to remove them for a version ... but I have yet to determine if that is best or not.
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Ok, uploading a new version to the downloads area here.
This is version 1.3.2.
+ It corrects the header export issue.
+ I believe it addresses the problem with the export dropping certain orders.
+ It adds a new field for determining shipping type (residential / commercial) which is needed by some shippers (like UPS) (thanks to Scott Wilson for this addition).
+ It REMOVES the "state abbreviation" option from the export totally. Right now I think this was the main reason the export failed (that was one of the new items added in recent versions and is when a number of people reported exports stopped working.)
I do plan on adding that state functionality in again in a later release but wanted to make sure this version worked for everyone before I tried that again. If this version works then I can say we have a "new stable version" for working with.
If you want it now you can download it now from this link until it goes live in the zen cart downloads area.
http://www.zencartoptimization.com/downloads/
Please leave feedback here letting me know if this corrects a number of the issues reported recently. I have been unable to duplicate most of them so I went back to the most recent stable release and then backed out the "new items" that were added (and reworked others to keep them) in an attempt to isolate the initial problems.
Thanks everyone.

One nice feature would be for the utility to remember the check boxes/radio buttons selected previously. Otherwise, you must makes those selection each time you run it.
I went in and manual set them the way I needed in the php file. But obviously this is not ideal.

I'm able to download it now.
I plugged in the updated shipping_export.php file and gave it a try. It exported a test order just fine. I'll give it a more thorough test soon, but for now it looks like it is working.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
I am using Zen Cart v1.3.9d and just have tried both export shipping v1.3.1 and v1.3.2.
I am a newbie and believe I have a fundamental problem, after install this add-on module, there is no order/shipping data shown on the page after I click the Tools-> Export Shipping/Order Information. Can see the page image from this link
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8946671/shipping.png
I guess I might have missed some fundamental steps but have googled and checked whole day still not able to detect what went wrong.
Appreciate help! Thanks

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
1) What internet browser and version are you using to export the info?
firefox 3.6.8
2) Is your state field on the account creation for a "drop down" selection or a standard "text input field"?
drop down
3) Are you trying to export one product per row or one order per row?
No data shown and no show of checked box on the right
4) Does your site sell any products that do NOT require the customer to enter a shipping address?
no
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
There are few orders I have made, and I have checked the orders table, the downloaded_ship flag for these orders are "no"
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
A few ideas.
1) The only way you won't show orders is if you either have none, or if you already ran an export NOT in test mode and the orders were marked as exported OR if you have a problem with installing it (which it looks like is the case here.) To re-export them (even though they don't show on the list ... this list only shows new, non-exported orders) select the option to export previously exported orders.
2) Try to reinstall the module from beginning to end again. From the looks of your screenshot, the page just "stops" at some point and doesn't continue to load. You should see an entire set of options down the right hand side of the screen as well as a note that would say "no orders to export" (or something similar) even if there were no orders.
Make sure when you installed it you put all files in the proper locations and do not miss any.
Let me know if that helps.

Missing last orders: Export Shipping & Order Information
Running Version 1.3.2
Normally I have no problems. Yesterday I exported orders by day as I always do. However, I discovered that the last two orders for the day did not show up in the export file. I figured it was a date stamp issue, So I then did the orders for the next day. The missing orders were not there either. So then I exported the orders for both days. Bingo, the missing two orders appeared.
I always run it in test mode,
INclude Header
one order per row
various additional fields
Then the date.
Oh, one other slight issue. When you click the calendar it always appears obscured by the window. I have to widen the browser to see it. I use Firefox.
Great tool!

No Weight: Export Shipping & Order Information
There is one thing missing from this tool. There is no weight exported. We are currently manually changing the weight for orders that exceed 1lbs. It should combine the weight of all items ordered for a given order.
It would be a big time saver.

This is great to hear. This could very well solve similar problems that others are having. So what permissions did you have to set in order to get it to work?
I realize that write permissions need to be set for the file to be sent to a directory (this is in the instructions) but what were the permissions that were not working and what alterations helped it work for you?

2) Check the post a few down that mentions alteration of permissions got it working for another user. Apparently on their server they had issues with the extlib directory etc... and needed to set different permissions for them in order for it to work.

Quantity is already included in the mod. Just select "product details" as an export option. I can easily add weight to the next version as an option. I have that in a customized version used for real time printing of packing slips on another computer so I can add that to this one.

Can you do me a favor and look at the DATE and TIME stamp on the two orders that did not print for you? The issue is likely related to that however I need to know those issues to look at what may correct it.
I suspect these two orders might have been completed near the "turn of the day" (where one day turns into another ... i.e midnight etc...)

Great, thanks for providing these. I suspected they were "later in the day" numbers. I will make a few alterations in calculation of the date / time in the next version to see if this can be remedied. I appreciate the feedback!

Currently the is no way to "save" your configuration (maybe an option I could consider for future versions) but you can preset options if you know php.
To do this you would need to open the file shipping_export.php found in the root of the admin folder. Then scroll to the bottom where the form is generated and add "selected" etc... to the items you want to have preselected. I've done this on a number of installs and it works well.

One quick fix that is not ideal, but better than nothing, would be to provide a separate include file that we could edit. In the file is each of those variables and a simple "0" or "1" next to each variable.
Users would then edit the file and set the values to one or zero. Then each time Export is used, these default values set the check boxes accordingly.
This would be much easier and safer than going in and editing each corresponding line in the php file. I had gone in an edited the php file, but when I upgraded to v1.3.2. those edits were lost. With the include file approach, new updates would not be a problem

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
In the shipping_export.php file is looks like there are plans to enable exporting as an XML file?
This would be great since I have a 3rd Party Fulfillment warehouse that prefers an XML file when I send them my orders. Any idea if and when we could see this functionality?

What version of the module are you using?
I'll have to look and see if anything else changed that would have added or dropped something when the ISO codes are used. Anyone else notice this problem on their system?

This is indeed on the drawing board to add. Just haven't got a hard date on it yet. I was working on correcting a number of issues that arose in previous releases to come back to a new "stable" version (which I think from current reports we have now with 1.3.2).
The issue with the XML file to a degree is that some fulfillment houses want the XML file in a certain format with records indicated in various forms. This XML file would be a standard type of export that they would have to map to for it to work (so we have a consistent basis for all users.)

To do this you would need to open the file shipping_export.php found in the root of the admin folder. Then scroll to the bottom where the form is generated and add "selected" etc... to the items you want to have preselected. I've done this on a number of installs and it works well.
Can you give me an idea of what that might look like? I'm looking at the file right now, but I'm not sure I can see where I would add "selected".

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
For fields that have checkmarks, you would alter to read as follows:
Quote:
<?php echo zen_draw_checkbox_field('shipmethod', '1', $shipping_method_checked=true);?> <?php echo TEXT_SHIPPING_METHOD_FIELD; ?><br />
For fields that are drop downs you would need to do this (where the highlighted part references the actual 'value' for the drop down element you want to pre-select):
Quote:
<?php echo zen_draw_pull_down_menu('order_status', $status_array, $default='5', 'id="order_status"'); ?>
For any fields that are referenced through straight HTML you want to alter as follows:
Quote:
<input type="radio" name="status_target" value="1">Any Order Status<br />

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Is there a way to include the header row in the e-mailed version?
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Did you check the box for exporting the header row? If so, let me know if it doesn't show in your file. I can take a look at adding that for the next version (I thought it added that to the file already though.)
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Yes, I did check the box. I notice in the shipping_export.php file, it has this code about halfway through the file:
Quote:
// saving to a file for email attachement, so write and ready else do regular output (prompt for download)
// Do not set headers becuase we are going to email the file to the supplier.
//open output file for writing
$f=fopen(DIR_FS_EMAIL_EXPORT.$file,'w+');
fwrite($f,$str_export);
//fwrite($f,$str_full_export);
fclose($f);
unset($f);
It looks like if the file is going to be saved on the server and e-mailed, the header row is not included, even if the box is checked. How would I change that?
Thanks!

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Hi Eric,
It looks like this newest version has an addition field called Ship Destination Type.
Can this field be added to the Select Additional Fields section so I can exclude it? To have a new field just pop up like this throws my whole import off (I'm automatically importing it into Access).
Thanks, Susie

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Two other things I noticed.
1. When I changed downloaded_ship to no, that record did not show up again on the screen (it had in the past). Did you change something to look at more than that field for new records?
2. These fields are now in a different place:
product qty, product price, product name, product model, product attributes.
In the old version, these fields were between order date and order tax. In the new they come at the end after order status.
Any chance you could put these back to be in the same position they were before? Anyone who has the records automatically imported into something else will be messed up by this.
I'm using these settings:

Make sure you are working with the newest version. The newest version has that section altered to include the header row. 1.3.2 is what you want.

No, nothing else is looked at. That is the only field.

In one of the original (very early) versions the way it is now is the way it should have been. Somewhere along the line the details changed. To be more relevant for the majority of users the field locations were put back to their original areas.
Having said that, your import could likely be thrown off do the the addition of the new field Ship Dest Type. I have already marked this field as an optional field in the next release (1.3.3) so that has been completed now. Once I get a few other details in 1.3.3 I'll release it. If you want to send me a private message with your email I can email a copy of that to you (with the changes you need to the ship dest type field).

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Oh...darn it lol, mine is quite heavily modified to include extra fields and remove other unnecessary fields. Can I just grab the header section from the 1.3.2 file and put it in my file, or are there other changes that would need to be made for that to work?

It depends on what previous version you were running. Copying headers under any case will not work.
If yours is modified to that extent it probably would not be a good idea to upgrade.
It would also be difficult to determine where the issue might be as it could be related to some of the modifications that were made on your end.
Give me a list here of the exact issues and I will see if I can provide you with the sections of code (from the original code that is) where you might want to look to correct them.
Also give me the version of the program you were using that you modified so I know what code you started with.
Thanks!

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
OK, thanks! It is version 1.3.1. I don't *think* any of the changes I made would have removed the header information. The modifications I made were mostly to row names and I also added some more fields and moved some around. We are using it to export orders to the shipping warehouse so it had to follow their required format. I also set up a php script to automatically FTP the file from the server to the warehouse when the store owner clicks the Export button. The headers work fine if I download the file, but they just don't show up if I save it to the server.
The only issue is the header row, I just want it to show up in the file when it is saved on the server. Right now it only shows up if I download the file. Everything else works great :D

Do this. Send that file over to me (just the one found here /admin/shipping_export.php) and I'll take a look. I can correct the header info only and then send it back for you. Sound good?
That way you don't lose any current custom functionality but still get it working to your liking.
You'll need to zip the file up and send it. If you can attach it to a Private Message then do that. Otherwise, contact me via a private message and I'll give you an email to send it to.
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks, Eric. That's ok; I'll just wait for the normal release. I got around the problem by editing the exported file, moving those columns around, and deleting the extra field. Then it imported fine.
Weird about the records not showing up, though. In the past whenever I went in with PHPAdmin and changed that flag, it would then show up to be exported again. But now it doesn't. I refreshed the page and then tried logging out and back in. Nothing.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Hi there I have a fresh Zen Cart 1.39f install and I am trying to use it to process 5K race registrations.
In order for my store to be useful I need to be able to download the entries in a bulk manner and import them into my timing system, hence my discovery of your great module.
However I have hit a snag. My entries have additional attributes like Gender, date of birth, t-shirt size etc...
In order to get imported correctly I need those fields to each have their own column. Instead the extra attributes get exported all in one column with a | between them.
Is there any way to change this behavior? If you would like to see my "store" it is at https://gcrunner.c10.ixwebhosting.com/zencart
You can see the various options that I need to include.
Thanks for any ideas you may have.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
@sduffy,
There is no way in the current module to alter that from within the interface. However, if you want me to customize a version just for your needs (I've done this for a few others with specific requirements) send me a private message and we can talk about it.
Thanks!

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND cc.countries_name = o.delivery_country WHERE o.orders_id = ot.orders_id AND' at line 1

Ok, super. Thanks for listing that. I'll look at it here and alter for the next release. I have a new one coming out soon so that will be addressed.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Hi
just a couple of quick questions regarding the exported CSV file with customers orders-
1.There seems to be a zero or letter o in some header row titles-such as,Product 0 Price,Product 0 Name etc,any idea how to remove this?
2.How can I remove certain header row items such as Customer email, Country and Postcode?
3.Have noticed some exported orders are being exported twice in the same export-in test mode without including previously exorted orders
Thanks in advance for any help

This is automatically added only when you are trying to export one order per row (it is not present in one product per row) and it should not be removed or it will render the rest of the export un-usable. If you have more than one product per order that is when it increments up Product 2, etc...

These are part of the default export. You can remove them but you'll need to remove them in several locations. First staring with the header row (in the php file) and then you will need to find each instance of where the data would be exported (the actual data row) and remove those as well. If you don't remove them correctly, you will throw your entire export file off (items will be exported in the incorrect locations most likely.)

What version of the mod are you using? If you are exporting one ORDER per row then you should see (if all is working ok) only one order per line.
If however you are exporting one PRODUCT per row then you will see one product per line. So if an order has multiple products, you will get that order info multiple times (because each product exports on a separate line.)

These are referenced in a few areas with in the file (header, one product per row, one order per row) sections.
The best thing to do is to search on 'price' and 'attributes' and then just comment out all of those areas where they appear.
You might need to remove some code from an SQL query or so as well.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Hi
I would like to add a function to the export shipping orders-the discount code used for orders, the discount itself is already there but what would be involved in adding the actual discount code that the customer used also?
-
Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
To add that you would need to alter the SQL queries. You'll need to add the coupon table to the mix and then link that up on something like the 'coupon_redeem_tracking' table which would then be linked to the order table.
The order table is the only one in the mix now (the discount total is simply pulled from there as a number.)
So you would need to go through the code and add the proper sql language to tie those two new tables in with the current (tie the coupon table to the coupon_redeem_tracking table by coupon id and then tie the 'redeem' table to the orders on order id.
It could likely take some time to implement but that is generally how it would be done.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Just installed the module and getting this error message when I try to run the export:
Quote:

If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
Any ideas why

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Yes, this is occurring b/c there are two lines that need to be switched in the shipping_export.php file (in the admin).
This is corrected in the next release (soon to be out.)
In the meantime, here is how you fix it:
1) Open the file admin/shipping_export.php
2) Find the section that looks like this (around line 95 / 96 or so):
Code:
if ($_POST['iso_country2_code'] == 1 || $_POST['iso_country3_code'] == 1) { $order_info = $order_info . " AND cc.countries_name = o.delivery_country "; };
$order_info = $order_info . " WHERE o.orders_id = ot.orders_id ";
3) REPLACE those lines with this:
Code:
$order_info = $order_info . " WHERE o.orders_id = ot.orders_id ";
if ($_POST['iso_country2_code'] == 1 || $_POST['iso_country3_code'] == 1) { $order_info = $order_info . " AND cc.countries_name = o.delivery_country "; };

Can anyone direct me on how to fix this?

What version are you using?
What happens if you run it in "test mode" and select "previously downloaded orders"?
There was an issue in older versions that caused what you are saying, but that has been corrected in the most recent version.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Anybody got any ideas on how I can automate the export of these files. Somehow at the end of each 'order completion'.

You would have to develop a CRON job and alter the script a bit to get that to work.

Hi Eric,

Thanks.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
Hi Eric,
One other question. Thanks for your post a few months ago that contained examples for changing the php code so that it remembers default settings.
I think you may have a mistake. You put:
Code:
<input type="radio" name="status_target" value="1">Any Order Status<br />
But judging by the code you already have in there, I think you meant
Code:
<input type="radio" name="status_target" value="1" checked>
Also I wonder if you could give us an example for a radio button being drawn by zen_draw, such as
Code:
<?php echo zen_draw_radio_field('filelayout', '1')?> <?php echo TEXT_FILE_LAYOUT_OPR_FIELD; ?>
Thanks.

Not yet. It looks to be mainly a bug fix at the moment and the goal is to get it out here within the next several weeks at the latest.
I was looking to see what added functionality might be worth including as well, but again, looks to be mainly a bug fix at the moment.
Will post here when it is ready.

Yes, you are correct here. IF the field is defined as you listed then to make it checked, you must add the 'checked' indicator to the tag. Thanks for that. Read on below to see how to do it when zen is drawing the checkbox or radio button.

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
For some reason when I export, only 20 orders are exported, no matter if ran per order/per product and including already downloaded orders.
The latest version crashes when Product Details is selected. The new version has bug fix for states which drop orders, but trying to fix this bug in the older version and download the browsers in a state of constant loading.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys

Re: Export Shipping & Order Information
I am using this on 1.3.8a installation, and it works great. I was wondering if you could implement, or tell me how to be able to export only a certain group of orders, based on group pricing. I am no programmer, and maybe there is a simple way to do this. It would be a huge help. Thank you.
