PAYPAL IPN BACKLOG TODAY - Orders not showing up at all but payments are .Help!

My past orders that were placed this morning had to be refunded and redone by the customer. It was embarrassing to ask them that, but oh well. Luckily I didn't have too many.

I know you can remove that pesky "check out with PayPal" button in the module then it won't skip the shipping address and all that. But you have to be using v1.3.9h or newer to remove it through the module settings.

Well it looks like its a problem with Paypal IPN system. All the IPNs for orders today are missing in My Paypal account.

Yes, which is why I changed to PayPal Express Checkout.

This morning my missing 3 orders suddenly showed up . I had 3 email notifications of the orders from yesterday and they are now listed in my Order Admin page. I have not altered anything so was it the Paypal issue then?

See my post above...if you are using Paypal Standard IPN....there was an outage with the IPN or "Instant Payment Notification" server. Basically, your store had an order but could not get the payment verification until the outage was fixed. Once the server came back up, my missing orders came back slowly over several hours newest first.

Same happened to my missing oder notifications yesterday morning. Now its happening with Nochex!
