Table Rate calculating incorrectly - help please!

My client wishes to ship their items in grams rather lb and requires a table rate solution for shipping.

I have changed the unit of weight from lb to grams and changed this in the following 3 files:

inc>lang>english.php
inc>lang>english>modules>shipping>zones.php
admin>inc>lang>english.php

In the table rate settings I have set up the following configuration:

100:2.50,250:3.75,500:4.50

So in my mind what I think I have set up is that for up 100g the cost is £2.50, up to 250g the cost is £3.75 and up to 500g the cost is £4.50.

HOWEVER, I have created a test product and put the weight as 100, but when I go to checkout the price it is showing for table rate shipping is £5.00.

I have checked the shipping option under configuration and cannot see anything in here which would affect the price as the tare and larger packages options are set to 0.

Anyone have any ideas please why and where it is getting £5.00 from?

Check in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... and make sure that you have Max Weight set to: 5000 and the Tare Rates both set to 0:0 so that they are not affecting your settings ...
