I'm having the same problem since upgrading to 1.3.8 with echeques. Would be good if this was fixed in the next version. My other Paypal IPN orders are also pretty tempremental and sometimes don't get recorded in admin and works other times. Didn't have this many issues when I was using Zencart 1.3.6

I'm also having this problem and would LOVE to hear a solution if someone finds one. It looks terrible to have to email someone and ask them what they've ordered.

Unfortunately, due to another bug I have on my site, I cannot see any info in that particular section. Nobody has replied to my requests for help with it.

I am running the latest install of Zen cart and the only module I have added is the Canada Post module. Yet when I go to see the Paypal IPN section, I get the following error (which they say is due to running an older version mixed with newer files)

1054 Unknown column 'p.order_id' in 'on clause'
    in:
[select count(*) as total from paypal as p left join orders as o on o.orders_id = p.order_id]

If anyone knows how to fix this or has ideas on where to start, I'd love it! :)

Thanks for your help, hopefully I can fix this bug and then I can see that area to view the orders. Thank you for telling me where to find the information.

Is the order supposed to show up in the PayPal IPN section right away or not until it has cleared? I just received an echeck payment that is waiting to clear, and nothing is in the IPN..

Also we've been having some random issues where the order doesn't show up in the site, but the paypal comes in.

Just checked all of my settings in my paypal account, and everything looks fine. Randomly we'll get a regular paypal order where we get the money, but the order doesn't come in. Also, every e-check order, nothing is in the admin section.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Please anyone reply if this issue has been resolved or a workaround exists.

I've just hit the same issue on the brand new install (1.3.8.a).

Any help, hints would be greatly appreciated.

    THank you in advance!

    Hello!

I've just posted my SOS on another thread dedicated to the same issue.

Yes, I'm having exactly the same issue in my brand new (1.3.8.a) installation.

PayPal Website Payments Standard, PDT enabled, e-checks are submitted by the customer but no recorded orders with any status.
CC via PayPal payments or PayPal payments create orders fine, just the echeck leaves no footprints.
I checked all possible DB tables for any signs -- nothing, clean...

My other site's old faithful version 1.2.7 works with echecks without problems.

Any workaround other than disable the echeck?

Look forward to hearing from the community.

    ...continuing my previous post above.

I took a look at the Apache SSL logs and I can see the checkout completed and the response from the PayPal.
PayPal calls produced "500" HTTP status.
The log excerpt below reflects onlly calls to executables, calls to css and images were removed for readability.

"500 - Internal Server Error" is something that your apache server triggers. And, when such an error is triggered, the cause of the error should be in the apache error_log, and/or the mod_security log.
If you can't find those logs, get your hosting company to tell you what's going wrong.
