What do you mean by 'higher resolution' - higher pixels per inch or a larger size logo?

What format is your logo file in - jpg, gif or png?

This is not a zencart issue... The quality, size and format of images is achieved using image editing software, such as Photoshop (top end of the spectrum) and Windows Paint (bottom end of the spectrum).

In between these extremes are literally hundreds of shareware and freeware packages. Price ( or the lack of it ) will be your basic guide as to how reliable a particular image editor will be.

It is currently a gif but i could change it to whatever it needed to be. I have photo shop cs4. I wanted it to be more pixels per inch.

It's hard to make a bad logo good but you should have an EPS or a 300 dpi version of your logo for use in print situations. Open this version of your logo in Photoshop and under the 'File' drop down choose the 'Save for Web' option. This feature will take the high resolution version and create a good quality web version with a reasonable file size. You can play with the settings on the right to achieve the look and quality you want.

    I hope this helps.

What are you going to do with the higher res image? Putting it on your website is generally a waste - most monitors are less than 100dpi.

Save your pic as a .jpg. gifs are terrible quality generally. .png is a little better and .jpg is the best.
