I solved my coupon problem, although is not doing exactly what I need.
To solve the "Congratulations -- your coupon is redeem message" and not having the coupon discounted from the total problem, I removed all of the restrictions but only allows the coupon for the one - product. Now my coupon is good for only that product, but my order minimum is not working.
Here is what I need to do:
I give a free product if the customer purchase $50.00 or more from the store. The free product has to be added to the shopping cart by the customer and they also need to enter the COUPON CODE for that product.
I created a coupon with the following data:
Coupon Amount 5.00 (the total value of the free product)
Coupon Minimum Order 50.00
Free Shipping - NOT checked
Restrictions:
Product ID -- Allow
I create a test customer and add more than 50.00 in the shopping cart plus the free product, but when I enter the coupon during check out , I get an error that says:
"You must spend at least $50.00 to redeem this coupon"
Even thought the shopping cart has more than 50.00 in total.
Is this type of coupon amount/minimum order and product restriction combination possible?
Thanks!
