Here's a quick tutorial on how to add fields to easypopulate v1.2.5.4 or 1.2.5.5

is there anyway to add images using url like:
http://images.supplier.com/SE/SE9/9727-14.JPG

I look at the product input in the admin after I upload and I get this:

Image Name: http://images.supplier.com/SE/SE9/9727-14.JPG Upload to directory: Main

So it's putting the url in there it's just not uploading them into the image folder like it would if I loaded it manualy in the product input.

Anyone have any luck loading url's ez pop?

JHouse or anyone else, have you been able to resolve the error you were receiving:

Warning: array_flip() [function.array-flip]: The argument should be an array in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/gsc/admin/easypopulate.php on line 1222

I am receiving the same error. Please help if you can.

I am using 1.3.8. I just installed Easy Populate CSV on a Mac.

Thanks.
Nope. I tried and tried, but kept getting denied. Same error. I too am using 1.3.8a. I think I followed the instructions provided to the T, but yeah, no love. Oh well.

Peace.

Convergence:

Greetings,

Looking for a way to add "featured" products into the datafeed via EP.

Would like to be able to have a column in the EP feed for "Featured" - using either a 1 or 0 (like product status) to show if an item is featured, and in turn, show up in the "Featured" areas of the site.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Just a quick "bump"...

Thanks!

Re: Here's a quick tutorial on how to add fields to easypopulate v1.2.5.4 or 1.2.5.5

Hi all, a new one for you...

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /var/www/zencart/admin/easypopulate.php on line 1216

I followed the instructions as best as I know how to and got that. Obviously the EP no longer does anything...

The only thing I added was product_sort_order to the easypopulate.php file.

The details are:

Zencart 1.3.8a, EP 1.2.5.5csv, and the latest of all the server stuff on a linux laptop. Only difference is that I use MySQL Administrator instead of MyPHPAdmin on this computer. This is a local install I am using to sort out the bugs before I stick it all up online, so if it's broken it's not a complete disaster.

Going to change it all back, but I have come to the conclusion that I need the sort order more than half the other junk (for me) like tax and date available.

Would replacing one of those with sort_order work as well?

Thanks, I hope...

Umm, fixed it by deleting some superfluous lines in the file so that line 1216 was what was expected.

It's an ugly fix, so a nicer one would be appreciated, or is what I did the 'nice' fix?

Re: Here's a quick tutorial on how to add fields to easypopulate v1.2.5.4 or 1.2.5.5

I'm new to Zen Cart but love what I see. Need some help with Easy Populate. Here is what I have:

Zen Cart 1.3.8a
Easy Populate 1.2.5.5 csv2

I successfully installed the module. And downloaded the CSV file. I then proceeded to add a test product. I uploaded the file back using the Easy Populate tool and the upload was successful. However, the product is no where to be found. I tried modifying an existing product and the file loaded successfully but did not modify the existing data.

I tried both a CSV and tab delimited TXT file. Either way the files uploaded successful but no changes where made.

Any help is appreciated.

Here are the test files:

artmuns:

Hi,

Getting the below when trying to import after modifying the various lines per your instruction. The first record will update correctly but the others will not (the subsequent records were new items). I have triple checked the mods and they are correct. Downloading the file gives me the correct columns I want.
They are "products_sort_order" and "default_subcontractor" (from another mod). Tried it also with just "products_sort_order"
and same problem. Below is the error log.

Thanks for any help!

Art

MySQL error 1136: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

'',
'0',
'13')

i am pretty much having the same problem as this, except my added fields are MSRP & Cost.

everythign works fine except when i try and add a new product.

all my values are there, but there is no colum for msrp or cost

Anyone ever come up with a fix for this?

Re: Here's a quick tutorial on how to add fields to easypopulate v1.2.5.4 or 1.2.5.5

I'm getting an error only with Create Model/Attributes .

I'm clicking Tools - Easy Populate - Create Model/Attributes .csv file in temp dir and I get Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /easypopulate.php on line 1074.

I get this on my local version and my online store.

I've seen several people with this problem but don't see a solution posted for version 1255csv2

I'm using ZC 1.3.8 with Easy Populate V 1255csv2 & Admin Profiles.
There's approx 150 existing products with 3-5 attributes for each.

Any ideas what might be causing this?
Please help or let me know where I might go for help on this.
Thank you!!

Love using easy populate but have a question that I believe belongs in this thread....

Can you set the minimum quantity to order via easy populate? If so could someone please help with how you do that.

TIA and again thanks for this great mod.

I figured it out thanks to the great instructions on post number one!!! Instead of reading the first post - I had been "searching the thread"!!

Lesson learned - always read the first post!!

Thanks again for this great MOD and all of the zenners' help. This will save me so much time that I now have time to buy you a "cup of coffee"!!

I had a client on the phone this afternoon with this exact query. I knew this thread existed as I do a lot with EP, and I told the client "yes, I'm sure it's possible". His reply... "Can you get it sorted within the next 2 weeks..."

Thanks to this brilliant post and thread initiated by LY, I impressed my client by sorting it out in 10 minutes!

You are very welcome! I am really really glad that I know enough to finally be of use to others in the community after all of the excellent help I've gotten!!:D The real thanks need to go to the author of this vital mod, that was a lot of lines of code to write!

I know that anything from the database can be added, even fields from other tables, but I haven't had a need yet so I haven't tried it. It might require separate db statements, I am not sure.

I am sorry that I haven't been around to answer questions in this thread. I wasn't subscribed to this thread and wasn't looking too closely at it. But now, I am subscribed and will help where I can.

Hi Guys has anyone come up with an answer for this error;
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 38797312) (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/admin/easypopulate.php on line 1092

Re: Here's a quick tutorial on how to add fields to easypopulate v1.2.5.4 or 1.2.5.5

I have some problems with importing custom fields with EP.
I can update data of existent product, but when i want to import new products, the custom fields are imported with '' value.
The exporting procedure go fine, all custom fields are present and valid.

I think this is a bug of EP
Is there a patch or i have to hack the main EP code to solve this?

That just means the server is tied up with other operations and ran out of allotted memory. If this persists you can change the memory limit in your php.ini file if your host allows it.

What version of EP, what version of zen cart, what version of php?

You followed the tutorial in post 1 of this thread? And you can download the csv file and the new fields are there? But when you upload the file with the new fields it doesn't show up? Do you get any error messages? Check the database log to see if there are any errors being reported.

I haven't tried the newest version of EP from the downloads section but it's supposed to allow you to add custom fields through the admin panel instead of hacking the code like I did.

Re: Here's a quick tutorial on how to add fields to easypopulate v1.2.5.4 or 1.2.5.5

Thanks for you reply. I have now manually added the custom fields directly to the php main code, and it works.
I think that there some bug with the new custom fields function in 1.2.5.6 (but i have no time to check).
I have also create an MS access file to import and export the csv file.
Do you know if it's possible with MS access to connect directly to the DB and get and update the product fields?
